Or allow for there to be an easier way for addon devs to make an addon that works like it did via the Hermes addon for Classic and Classic TBC.

Or…

Have it a language skill with a very long quest line to be able to learn it. Maybe have it to do with Rep, too? It can still be a “broken” translations even when maxed out, but enough to get the jist of it is an example of how this can be done if blizz wants to keep it in game.

Off topic kinda - I exclusively play on Grobbulus and it was part of my RP as a scholar that poured over books and literature to half way speak to the opposite faction.

It makes sense as in ALL WARS there is “collusion” and “deals” made cross factions. Even romances.

All is fair in love and war. ; )

I’d be fun if there were super rare world drop books that taught you one of the opposite faction languages. Would be neat little thing to have.

keep it rare enough to were people wouldn’t all just be speaking orcish in stormwind though.

Why would they be talking orcish in Stormwind? There isn’t (or very rarely) horde in ally towns and capitals.

Side note, anytime there’s a holiday quest to do a thing in an Alliance city on the Mankrik (horde dominated) server, there’s usually more horde in the alliance cities than alliance.

I see no issues with it.

Hell, I saw no issues with it. on my Blood or void elves I’d talk the other side elf often.

I’d not argue that. orc lead the invasion into night elf homelands later. he gets no pity from me.

that was the supposed messiah of blizzards call. Metzen and others put in place everything that lead to SL. We were told everything in wow was supposed to lead to that moment anyway.
