Allow Druids to shapeshift with cast

Bad title sort of explains it lol.
I think druids should be able to “use” Rake and have it shapeshift them into cat form.
I just want druids to be able to automatically shapeshift into their appropriate forms from a few key skills that can only be used in said form.

Again, being able to shift into cat form by casting Shred or Rake.
I do see the problems with that, but I think that people far smarter than me in that regard should be able to figure it out.

I just want a more fluid druid shapeshifting.

use a macro that activates the form, then uses the ability?

I don’t know, I barely play my Druid, but I;m pretty sure have some macros that shift her into the correct form for certain abilities. I made them a LOOOONG time ago, though.

Druids need to be able to exit travel/normie form without costing a GCD

If I want to attack an enemy I need to switch into my proper form first then wait for GCD to actually attack and it feels bad

I mean…that’s a price we pay to have such amazing versatility and adaptability. Druids already have basically everything and can do anything. Waiting a second to access some of that power, should be all good.

Remember there are some abilities like dash that auto shapeshift so I don’t really see the difference. If you want rake on a bar that isn’t the cat bar that seems like a fair trade off. I personally don’t really enjoy power shifting, I mainly just use the main form of my spec, so it wouldn’t change how I do things either way.

Putting shift on the gcd was one of the biggest nerfs to Druid.

We used to be able to power shift out of roots.

Now if you rooted you have to take two gcds to shift out and back in.

If you are tanking, you can’t shift out because being caught out of bear form for a gcd will likely mean you take too much damage

I agree with the basic premise of what you said.
My problem comes with the fact that all rp has been stripped from the game for Druids. no more class quests, no more talking to the spirits to learn my shapes…i just know.
so take this, make it more modern. We shot all the real rp out of the game for the average player, so adding a more smoothed out casting sequence isn’t really much of an ask.

THE SHAPESHIFTING WOULD BE AUTOMATIC. YOU DON’T NEED TO DO ANYTHING lol what on earth are you talking about?
IT takes the complication OUT of the way, not add more…

And that is part of what I am talking about. We need it to just be more fluid.
There is, with current tech ACTUALLY IN THE GAME RIGHT NOW…its just a matter of saying YES or NO to the idea and putting it into the spells.
