He is charismatic and represents the majority of WoW players. He is very relatable, a great player, has vast knowledge of different aspects of the game, including transmog collecting, lore, elite raiding, mount and pet collecting, achievement hunter, and the list goes on.
Please consider making him a part of the council to improve the game. We would have hope again.

I think he will get in if he applies along with any other yourube creator. They seem to want people of influence in the coucil.
It makes no sense to have anyone that already has a massive platform be on the council since the purpose of the council is to give community members a platform. Plus, Asmongold isn’t reliable anyways, he takes a half a year break on a whim.

He hasn’t played because he felt the game has changed so much that it is no longer designed for a player like him. If he was a part of the team to improve the game, then I know he would be back.
I certainly wouldn’t. He may be popular but it isn’t justification for needing people like him, or any streamer/influencers. He isn’t very sociable, let alone reliable. His fame only ever happened because he basically stirs up drama asides from him being a extremely consistent in getting content out. There’s nothing very notable about him. He is still just one person with opinions and ideas, like everyone else.
His mother just passed away a week ago, I don’t think he would be in the headspace any time soon to provide any valuable input to a council of participants trying to better the game for us all. I know I wouldn’t be.

He’s likely already on an “influencer council” or something similar that has been in place for a very long time. Preach talked about it awhile back on one of his streams.

No. Paid “influencers” should not have a seat on the community council.
They are essentially politicians that will adjust thier positions based on potential personal revenue versus what is actually good for the game.
There is 2 purposes of the council I can assume from the application as I can tell;
To bring people that has ideas, knowledge of the game to an area where the devs can view them easier.
And to bring people with large influence to an area where devs can easier gather data from them more easier.

I know it’s a troll thread, but why put someone on the council who probably already has influence on several councilors?
Not saying he wouldn’t have good points, just that it’s pointless when he would already have indirect influence on the council by just being himself (assuming he even came back to WoW).
I don’t think it matters how many posts you have on the forums, infact, that isn’t even a viable metric to go off when creating a council for anything in my experience. We have councils at work to manage the quality of a design system, councils to manage a product detail page, councils for all sorts of stuff - and never has the metric in deciding who get’s on that council been based off how much they spoke to a group of people. Experience in the product is what get’s you on the council, the forums are a place to discuss the product (amongst other stuff), but… what would you prefer… someone with 0 posts but a wealth of knowledge about the game, they just don’t participate on the forums… or someone with 20,000 posts but it’s primarily garbage?
