Allies New AV strat that works

Stay in cave until horde cap SPGY then go Kill lts for honor. fast 7-10 min games fast av marks faster rep farming. Good plan huh.

I had heard that endlessly farming at stormpike graveyard while holding the druids was more effective. After so long they despair and afk out leading to the next crop of victims. Or so I heard.

Yeah they need to fix av instead of useless WARGAMES. #nochange lol sure blizzard

Horde usually extend games to 30 minutes before winning.

Horde have very long queues for AV, so they’re hungrier for the fun.

Most alliance in AV are only there for their rep farm, it seems to me that a good number of them are alts just looking to farm their BiS.

End result is alliance working together to turtle specific points then holding the druids hostage for rep turn ins - and horde turtling south while they escort shamans, because they are aiming for summoning Ice Lord.

Blizzard could fix this by not letting the druids be held hostage by keeping the NPC dialogue open - but it might have unintended consequences that just make AV queues even longer for horde.

It will be interesting to see if alliance tactics change when new phases introduce new BiS and horde get even longer queues, or if AV will die altogether.

AV doesn’t need fixed, the players do.

This is true. Horde will just push into the cave and farm you for the full 30-minute duration. They are super interested in scorched earth and full honor.

Otherwise, it would be a good idea.

The winning strategy is for all 40 alliance members never to res, it would force horde to end the game quickly.

It would also make horde hph attrocious, so less rankers would queue on the horde side, which is good for the alliance if some groups decide to fight.

Blizzard could fix this by not let horde spawn in cave so allies have a chance to take ibgy. Biggest disadvantage allies have cuase how close horde is. that why they change av in the future cuase horde shouldnt get to shgy the same time allies do.

I would first suggest that players should get off their epic mounts and fight instead of parking and leeching.
Sub 60s should wait on the side quests until they are higher level or have friends to help them so they can complete them quickly and get back into the fight.

If you want to fish, maybe a PvP BG isn’t the best choice.

Geared up Allies, maybe participate in a couple of AV matches even though you are already exalted…you know…Faction Pride and stuff…just saying.

You should probably try to level your Alliance alt past 28 before trying to act like you’re an Ally main.

Why? Why should they queue for AV? There’s no real benefit to them, as they can get more honour and more games in AB or WSG - it’s only better for Horde, and those who want to grind rep.

Also… faction pride? Really? You really are a Horde main. It’s pretty much only Horde that spit that immature garbage.

OK did that what’s next?

Yes But then I rerolled Alliance to “fix” the faction Imbalance

I dunno, do you think you can get a large amount of geared Allied players to queue for AV? 'Cause I don’t see why they would want to. It’s a waste of their time. It’s not like AV is particularly fun in the 1.12 state.

Well there’s one of you, so that’s helpful. It’s a nice start.

I believe that the issue, Allies who are already geared tend to be more focused on high end PvE and those who are interested in PvP stick to BGs that are specifically PvP instead of the Hybrid BG AV (PvP in a PvE objective).

The solution is complicated and REQUIRES the playerbase to do something with little to no reward, The geared must queue for a BG that you don’t care about.

Hard sell, i know, but doable.

I mean AV is no fun.

Horde was equally bad a Isle of Conquest as Alliance is at AV. Well not 98% bad but you get the point.

I present to you… THIS LINK. A piece of wow history…perhaps.

Set in AV for 5hrs farming horde once.

Horde /afk out at about 45mins to an hour you get a new batch. Repeat.
That’s for rep and hk.

Hold druids keep killing at 5grs horde are just running aimlessly. Release rams end game.

Huh, I had considered the war of attrition front but never attempted it, a group of 5 players could hold a game hostage as long as they want if they played it right.

I’ve heard at one point caving horde was actually good honor per hour, in a game that’s very different from Classic.

Playing on the Horde side is kinda fun, most are motivated to get to Van, win the game.

Playing on the alliance side is not so fun. You either join in on the rep farm (boring) OR get killed a zillion times trying to push to the objectives.

One thing I do LOVE about AV now (both sides), most people FINALLY understand the turn ins and Flight masters and the riders and druids/shaman. The things that make AV fun and engaging and make it feel like a battlefield instead of a game.

I’ve found that PUGing any BG as alliance isn’t fun, a lot of players give up before they even try.
