Allied races not showing in character creation

When I logged into my US license with the intention of making a new character, I noticed that the allied races were gone from my character creation screen. They weren’t just greyed out, they were gone.

I have unlocked VE, LF and HM so far on this account, the account has game time attached to it and I have the shadowlands expansion.

I have also checked my EU license, which has game time and shadowlands expansion as well. The allied races are showing up in the character creation there, and it’s showing LF, VE, NB and Zandalari as unlocked, which is correct.

I should add, I have no issues accessing the allied race characters already created on my US license - I just can’t create any more, because they’re not there.

Think we can get some sub days as compensation? Im waiting on the allied characters to come back so I can actually make the character I want to.

In my opinion anything other than a free charachter change should be mandatory. I was planning on leveling a void elf priest today (old player getting back to wow). I used my boosted character to unlock voidelf and lightforged and now im stuck.

To make matters even more insulting, unlocking those races on my boosted characters was one big clusterbug of bugs. quests not accepting, quests not working, quests not even being there while they should be and now the grand finisher: cant create allied races. Damn blizzard is trying hard to push people away, but my addiction is too strong!

Having the same issue, came back and ground out content to get the vulpera unlocked and have no way to do it… very upset at the moment as now I wont have one I can play in shadow lands.

I don’t know why, but when I reached level 50 the Allied races appeared.

hello new player here i actually purchased the game and expansion just to play the newer orc race im lvl 50 but none of the races are showing when i make a new character i figured maybe it was cause i needed to do the quest line but my friend who is a vet said i don"t even have the initial quest that starts in Orgrimmar. im not really sure what to do at this point i bought 3 months just to make that nice red orc warrior and play with my friend

I can’t believe this is still an issue this many days later. Blizzard, is there no one in the office that can fix this? This shouldn’t even be a big problem to fix just add a button to character select…i didn’t re sub to not play the character I wanted to play.

Hello fellow netizens with the same issue as me. I spent hours speaking with the GM. Let me summarize the points i got from them.

  1. Yes we know about the issue.

  2. Suck it up and wait for next patch.

  3. Nope nothing I can or want to do about it now.

  4. No compensation. (I asked for a race change)

Thats basically what i got be4 the gm left the live chat after losing patience. I guess i will just treat the sub payment as a fee for misplaced trust in Blizzard and WOW… 🥲

Same problem for me, I just unlocked highmountain tauren and they haven’t shown up :confused:
