Allied races and Subraces you'd like to see

Those are adorable

I would like Ethereals for the Horde so we can get a cosmic race. That way we can contribute when we do more cosmic stuff, instead of hitch a ride with the Draenei.

I would love that but I can see the Horde Bias threads already. I’ve heard that idea of having a cosmic race before and I’ve always liked it.

What I want is already been suggested so I’ll go against the grain.

Light Undead, for Alliance, that could either be like Calia or upright undead model with more Lordaeron nobleman-themed hairstyles instead of gothic punk rock of the Forsaken. Maybe more of a somber religious theme to them rather than the hopeful and cheery elements of regular Human holy light theme.

I would like to see:

Alliance:

  1. High Elves/Half Elves.
    2: Ankoan.
    3: Arakkoa.
    4: Broken Draenei.
    5: Dragonkin.
    6: Alterac/Dalaran Humans.
    7: Sethrak.
    8: Satyrs/Night Fae.
    9: Cat People.

Horde:

1: Taunka and Yaungol Tauren.
2: Ogres/Mok’nathal Orcs.
3: Dragonmaw Orcs.
4: Hozen.
5: Gilgoblins.
6: San’layn/Dark Ranger Elves.
7: Nathanos Humans/Skeletons.
8: Mogu.
9: Forest Trolls.

Shadowlands Allied Races. Faun, Kyrian, Venthyr, and Necrolords.

Granted, they already have evidence based off of their datamined Allied Race ID, but I think that’s fine since the rule is:

Which they officially aren’t.

Another suggestion is seeing the Arakkoa, maybe as a counterpart to Ogres or have different groups of them join the Alliance and Horde.

Which can go either way, but I would say the High Arakkoa for the Alliance the Cursed Arakkoa for the Horde.

If they happen they should be Horde given that Horde helped them way more.

This seems op and not much lore sense.

More humans? You have 3 already, what would make these any different?

Too evil, but:

I support for alliance.

I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t go neutral, if they’re ever playable

I assume you mean saberon? I don’t see them happening but it’d be cool.

Highly agreed.

Highly agreed again.

Not even gonna try to respond to that.

I’ve never wanted them, they’re too weird, but not the worst.

What would set them apart from mag’har or normal orcs?

Agreed.

I’d like it but I could see alliance being upset.

Seems a bit boring to me but still cool.

Nor do I want another high elf thread.
Saberon would be cool but they seem too beastlike to me.
Arrakoa would be weird. I don’t see why they’d join either faction right now, but with Outland arrakoa, I see Horde because fellow Draenor natives. Maybe some would feel a connection to void elves with their use of void magic. Uncorrupted Arrakoa only exist on AU Draenor I believe, which is gone for now, and I don’t see Yrel and her group of light religious fanatics liking that Arrakoa shadow magic.

San’layn, and before anyone says anything, I don’t care about the “no more elves” chant, doesn’t change my wants and personal opinion :stuck_out_tongue:

However, if they can do a reasonable Night-Warrior-Like questline to fill in more gaps in lore such as how the vampyr curse is spread, and how they’d end up joining the Horde (because for Wildhammer it makes sense they don’t need a storyline to join the Alliance, they’re already in it/friendly) since at the moment they’re still kill-on-sight, I think it’d be reasonable for an addition. The customization could be bat-like ears, red eyes, and fangs for blood elves. They could even give this on Alliance side to humans, since we saw human vampyr in Stormheim.

I think it’d be cool if some of these subrace ideas could still be given unique voicelines/animations as customization, but that’d be pushing it. Like if along with customization, Blizzard added in a choice of this if you pick customization pertaining to that subrace. (Example: If your dwarf has Wildhammer tattoos, you gain access to Wildhammer voice lines. Stuff like that.) In this case you wouldn’t be getting unique racials or anything but something is better than nothing. (Heck, cosmetic changes to racials though would be neat :stuck_out_tongue: )

I like this alot and I’m gonna steal the idea but I agree.

Steal away, the more the idea is spread, the merrier ^^ It could be applied to virtually any ‘subrace’ idea. I don’t know how they’d go about the mechanism to add it in, but they’re changing things up big time with customizations, so I feel it could be possible.

Ogre voicelines are making me smile.

Me no has target
Me need target first
Me too far away to SMASH
Me not close enough
Me need more arcane power
This way! No that way! | If you press both strafe keys at once.

They could probably just make it a skintone thing since that’d be the most defining thing. That or tattoos for dwarves.

Hahahah the ogre voiceline ideas made me giggle.

I would love to see Eredar. So Horde can get their own Draenei.

The Kelfin are pretty cool. But they’re just so dang nice and I don’t wanna put characters like Poen in danger of our silly fights. ( Seriously he’s so nice he is best healer npc )

I’m surprised the Broken over on Argus didn’t decide to go live on Azeroth after the legion is defeated. But I guess Blizz decided the Lightforged were a cooler alternative so eh I get that.

Another option I’d like to see is Forsaken that are other races other than human. The issue with that is I’d imagine the faction imbalance would get way worse.

Argus was their homeworld. They won’t be leaving anytime soon. I’d love if we got to visit Argus for even just a scenario where Velen and some of the Draenei are working with the Argussian Reach and krokul to purify Argus to it’s previous glory. Even just one scenario where there’s some green vegetation in Antoran Wastes. Or maybe yellow/purple since that’s Argus’ color, as seen in Mac’aree.

I picked Poen because I misread it as peon and me that kind of orc.

They’re like fel orcs. They’re perma evil and in service of themselves or the Legion. They’re fel corruption would seep into non-corrupted races aswell. That’s why Frostwolf orcs turned green despite never drinking demonic energy drinks.

I get ya. I’m just saying I thought it would be cool and I wanna be horde and a draenei lol

None. No more. Please let it be done. There’s too many races and not enough new classses to roll them on. Give me necromancers, some sort of blood mage, a tech/engineer style class, etc. Whatever the hell Lilian Voss was back in Cataclysm… and no that was not a rogue.

Night Fae and San’layn seem to be the only ones that would make sense and are most likely coming in midway through shadowlands. Since that’s already being cooked I’ll just let them be the final ones. But we had a enough races. Time for more classes. More specializations. More ways to actually play the game.

Only thing I really want is Eredar which I’m not holding high hopes for. Idc which faction gets them

Tuskaar. I’d be ok if these were neutral like Pandas, but I know Blizz probably kicked themselves for doing that with Pandas.

Jinyu and Hozen. Not sure why Blizz didn’t attempt this with ARs, but they would both be awesome fun. By default, Ankoan would go with Jinyu as a customization (like some of the current ARs should have been! Looking at you, LIGHTFORGED).

The only way I’d like to see Orges as an AR is if Alliance got Vrykul as one to compensate. Only fair to include one large race with another. Otherwise, I’d prefer to see neither.

Sethrak would be a neat addition.

Furbolg have been friendly enough to include, but the armor would probably look WEIRD on them.

Any kinds of Dwarves, Elves, Goblins and the like should just be customizations. I don’t think we need to call them new “races” to add them. Even something like Taunka could be added that way.

The Ethereals would be nice. Another race with weird armor options though.

Saberon maybe. That would be an interesting add.

San’layn, not because they are elves, but because they are VAMPIRES, and that could add an interesting element to the game. THIS could be a unique race apart from other elves simply BECAUSE they are vampires, much in the same way Nightborne are WAY different from Night Elves.

Kobolds and Gnolls. Kobolds because I just really want to run around yelling “YOU NO TAKE CANDLE!”. Gnolls because I really feel like Hogger finally needs a redemption arc.
