They could do it like they did in TBC, Cata and MoP where you unlock the races when you buy the expansion.

I hate to give them ideas for the cash shop, but I also think keeping the new races locked behind reps indefinitely is bad for business, since new races are a good way to entice new and returning players to the game.
Personally, I think they should drop the rep for the Legion races before Shadowlands. Then I think they should drop the Kul Tiran and Zandalari rep midway though Shadowlands. Vulpera and… whatever Alliance got near the end of Shadowlands.
Maybe only require rep for an Allied race for a year or something. I sure don’t think new and returning players should have to farm Legion content to play a Nightborne or Void Elf in Shadowlands. That’s lame.

Allied Race will probably be free around Shadowlands time OR it’ll be very easy to unlock. Paying for it is stupid.
I went and got light forged unlocked it like 10 days. Pretty sure they increased rep rewards since then too.
It really doesn’t take much.
I didn’t play in legion (irl reasons) so seeing Argus was cool as and the dailies didn’t take long at all. I just did them right at the start when I logged in each day and done.

All for $50… probably not. I could see each race unlockable for $15-$20 though. That would sell more.
I think putting in the store is a horrible horrible terribad should never happen ever thing.
I wouldn’t really mind them unlocking the Legion allied races at this point. However, I would prefer the caveat that in order to receive the heritage armor that they would have to satisfy the old unlock requirements on top of leveling from 20 to max.

As long as it isn’t game breaking or P2W, then what is the harm in putting some things in cash shop? I would agree that it shouldn’t be until the allied race has been out for an entire expansion. Current allied races should be grind only.
Then it would not be “Allied” race; It would be “Mercenary” race.
People miss the point. You become Allied to them, to unlock the race.

I agree that it’s likely they’ll make them free to unlock when Legion/BfA become like MoP/Legion.
Allied races as far as Blizzard is concerned are different to core races as you’ll need to win them over.
I’m working on Suramar at the moment and I kid you not, you can reach Revered with the Nightfallen in a day. I’ve literally just done it. It does appear that they’ve made it much easier than it was originally.
No we already paid for them, blizzard should remove the rep grind after the each expansion.

Got light forged Draenei unlocked fast because they’re one of the easier races to unlock lol. Try unlocking one of the races of this expac that isn’t Mag’har orc or dark iron dwarve lol. And this is coming from someone who has most of the races unlocked
