To be perfectly honest, I was referring more to a gameplay stance. When comparing the racials of the ARs to their core counterparts, you start to see that thereâs a reason why people are rolling them besides cosmetics/aesthetics.
The only ones that donât match this trend are the Kul Tirans and soon to be Vulpera.
Ah, I see. Well they didnât mean for that and if thatâs the case I hope they get nerfed. Or the rest of us buffed. And I will not give up hope that the Vulpera will stay far away from the character creation screen until I see it in Taliesinâs thumbnail.
But yeah, the reason why I mention Kul Tirans not matching this trend is because, as I stated, they are proto-Gilneans (meaning theyâre essentially the human version of Protodrakes to most Gilneans in that they existed first before splitting off) which points to the Worgen being a sub-race of Kul Tirans. Vulpera will be a completely NEW race being added as an AR instead of a sub-race. The only thing they share with ANY of the core races is the Goblinâs model skeleton.
⊠Now that I think about it, by that same logic, theyâre also proto-humansâŠ
Dude. Just because the Kulâtirans are descended from Gilneas doesnât make them a Worgen subrace. They are Human. The Worgen being Worgen is what their race is. Theyâre a specific groups of Humans, making them a subrace or an âallied raceâ. So their core race is Human. And also, itâs not a for sure that weâll get Vulpera, and I personally really hope we donât. But if we were, they would follow the pattern and not make them an allied race, because they are not a sub race of anything.
âArakkoan should be an allied race. Thereâs lore supporting them being aligned with either the alliance or the horde, similar to pandaren albeit for their own reasons.â
Seems sh*t if you ask me; look at the last MMO that had playable bird people. Btw, that was over 10 years ago but it still shows why this wonât work at all.
Im sure we will see more ARs eventually. This system really allows Blizzard to implement races quicker and in more numbers. Arakkoa have always been a favorite of mine so I too hope to see them one day.
