To be perfectly honest, they made no mentions of any hints as to which races would become Allied Racesā¦
So literally anything and everything was up in the air.

The Zandalari troll balance druid form is very Arakkoa like.
Unless Blizzard does a retcon of the Magāhar recruitment, we canāt go back to AU Draenor for any future events. With that in mind, and the fact people have wanted Arakkoa for a long time, itās not likely to happen.
Also, are you suggesting them as a neutral race? Isnāt that something else they(Blizzard) commented on not wanting to do again after Pandaren?
Didnāt read the blog, OP. But Iām not against the bird people becoming a race thatās played. But I think that, just like the ogres, it would be very difficult to modify existing and old armors to their bodies.
That may be, but it would also be up for Blizz to decide the how and why ultimately.
As for the Neutral Race thing; my old post made the Arakkoa Alliance-only and it got a lot of flak for it.
Exact! He was not content to just cause Viryx to fall!
He wanted the end of all the Skyrak arakkoas, something that was not going to happen now that the truth about the curse of seethe had been unmasked and the rapprochement between the Outcasts and High Arakkoas began!
It would be better than creating my 4th pandaren or 3rd worgen!
The existence of options, with real distinctions, is always good!
Yes! I agree! And they could make the moonkin shape have more similarities with the crows or with the eagles!
A solid indication that there are ways to make the arakkoas model playable for players, if they deem it to be valid!
There is a (inactive?) portal for Dreanor in Stormwind!
It can be difficult, but can not be totally discarded new trips to Alt draenor! At least not for the Alliance!
And remember, after arriving in Azeroth, other races took the chance and fled to our Azeroth at the same time as the maghar, as grons and knew! The door may be permanently closed but we still have some windows!
Indeed there are ways, but for nowā¦ All we can do is just wait, hope, and pray.
Allied Race Idea: Arakkoa
RAAAWK! No thanks!
That didnāt stop them from making Worgen; I mean have you SEEN their helms?
Arakkoa, arakkoa
Arakkoa, arakkoa, arakkoa.
Arakkoa, arakkoa, arakkoa.
Uh-uh-uh, arakkoa.
Rock me, arakkoa.
Arakkoa, arakkoa
Arakkoa, arakkoa, arakkoa.
Arakkoa, arakkoa, arakkoa.
Uh-uh-uh, arakkoa.
Rock me, arakkoa.
Cwazy Wabbit. XD
You may think I wasnāt singing the song as I typed it, but I was.
Anyway, just to contributeā¦ YES TO PLAYABLE ARAKKOA.
Oof, my bad.
Also, yay! Another to join the cause.
As a bird lover and arakkoa lover from the start, I support Arakkoa as an allied race 100%. Iām really tired of only being an āarakkoaā in zandy moonkin form. I want the real thing. I really love their armor and architecture its so beautiful.
I love the fact that you put this much effort and detail into the lore and class suggestions. I really hope Blizzard notices and does something about it.
It would be nice to have this race added to warcraft for player use.
In the current turmoil of vulperas, Old gods, Sylvanasās final destination, classic servers, several probable and desirable allied races have been out of the spotlight!
But itās good to see you are not forgotten!
If Maghar orcs came to Azeroth, this makes room for Arakkoas to come along at some point too!
Sorry you kind of went TL;DR, but I have and will continue to support bird-people as a playable race. It was the first monster race I played in D&D before such shenanigans were legit (2nd edition Kenku with my own rules over half my life ago) and Iād love to see it here. Iād even get over the fact they donāt have wings as I love The Dark Crystal and thatās what the race reminds me of most! +1!
Iāve always wanted them as a playable race, especially the short stumpy ones, the tall ones were interesting, the non cursed ones, but I always like the short ones the best.
Terrokar was easily my favorite zone in WoD by far.
holy crap, i love the extent and detail of this post but id rather not have arakkoa for a race, i mean you mentioend just about every point good and bad for it but ehh it just wouldnt work aesthetically
I would like arakkoas to come to Azeroth, because that would bring a new group of gods and culture for players to explore!
The arakkoas worship Rukhmar, Anzu and Sethe!
Aviana would surely be interested in the Arakkoas!
