Necromancer, Tinkerer, Scout(rogue hunter hybrid) etc… make it happen Jagex

Yes please, make them as different as Ryu and Ken.
Blade master - demon Hunter reskinned with ascended form instead of meta. Available to orcs and draenei.
Void knights - paladins reskinned with shadow magic instead of holy. Available to void elves and forsaken, amongst others.
Tinker - druid reskinned with mech forms. Available to gnomes and goblins.
Necromancer - demo and aff warlock specs reskinned with undead instead of demons. Maybe get rid of destro spec and give them a reskinned disc spec (blood effect on penance, mind bender is a ghoul) as their third.
Balance and dev times reduced, lots of new flavour and rp possibilities available for players.
They should have turned Aff lock into a necromancer during Legion imo. I mean they already have the weapon. Ulthalesh is a soul-stealer like Frostmourne and some of their spells are borderline necromancy.
I’d also like Florist, Woodworker, Cartographer, Cosmologist and Vet.
I’m sure they can come up with suitable abilities for them.
Please blizzard don’t listen to this.
I mean besides it potentially being another class to use bow/gun what would this even bring?
I don’t think they can do Necromancer because of how much of the theme of it is spread out between Warlock and Death Knight but at least I can respect that it is a unit from the old games and people want it.
And Tinker I like just don’t see them doing it with out taking a lot from other classes and just completely scrapping Eng as a profession but again at least it has some valid points to be brought up.
But Scout? Where did that come from?
What is this SWTOR now?
Never played SWTOR, so I don’t know what that means.
Allied races were generally a success, they opened up a bunch of new lore possibilities simply by reskinning existing races.
Allied classes could do the same, just by changing the names and effects of spells they could unlock many many more flavors and themes.
They had 8 classes in the game but if you played the other side you’d see that the classes were the same just with different names for abilities. It doesn’t feel good in the long run because you don’t get anything actually new, just different colors.
Depends on who you ask really. High Elf fans I’d imagine would say they’ve failed. Heck most alliance only players probably feel it was a failure.
Honestly just feels like asking for Void Elf paladins but with more steps.
Ah yes. I momentarily forgot the whole high elf thing. Political, indeed.
I should never have included that particular example!
That was just one example of many though, I still think a lot of people would be interested in mixing the specs up ie a necromancy that maybe being an affliction spec, an unholy spec and a disc spec in a single character.
Recolours, yes, but also the possibility of new spec combinations. And of course a different selection of races.
Well, if we’re defining “Allied Classes” as “classes that are similar/the same in mechanics as a current class but with a different skin,” how about we call them “Echo Classes” instead, ala “Echo Fighters” in Smash Bros. Ultimate. Fits better imo.
What would Tinkers take from other classes?
Also why would they need to scrap engineering? A class and a profession are two completely different things.
As for this thread, the Tinker wouldn’t work as a Druid reskin. It has too many unique attributes and abilities that simply don’t mesh with how Druids work.
