Alliance/Horde ratio making the game unplayable

I’m an alliance on Whitemane and it started out as a healthy balance of alliance/horde, but now it seems like it’s 95% horde and it makes it nearly unplayable when doing things like dailies in Skettis. When will Blizz address the broken server ratios? This issue is making an (otherwise awesome) game a VERY frustrating experience with lots of ganking and camping.

Unfortunately the best way to solve your problem is with 25$ (per character) :frowning:

sadly all the alliance have gone to benediction leaving whitemane and faerlina to the horde.

Yeah, Whitemane is pretty much the last.

The shift has sucked every time, and it leaves us with mostly really boring 99%+ “PVP” servers at the end.

I left my alliance on Earthfury until the ally population got to like 5% and I considered keeping it there but I figured out the only thing I would be able to do is PVP with it. Thankfully I got to Exalted with Skyguard with only 2 ganks because the horde left me alone, I think a lot of them felt bad that the allies were dying off and so they didn’t fight. I know that’s what I’ve done with my horde.

Either way, lots of people have stories like yours.

Sorry that you’re dealing with it. :frowning:

Never. You’d think with Retail, this time around they’d actually do something?

They didn’t.

They’ve found out that transfers are wonderful and the more broken servers get, the more people transfer to try to fix it.

They’ll lie your ear off why its ‘too difficult’.

Wanna know what recent answer they gave us?

They don’t want people to lose their ‘unique name’.

Yup.

That’s it.

They don’t give a damn about balance at all.

You mean all the Bene horde came to Whitemane…which caused the Alliance to leave.

I’m fine with xfering to bene, but I’m in Cali, and the east-coast server will cause me to have higher ms/latency which will be an issue for arena (I’m a PvP junkie). Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind moving my toon to bene… :frowning:

100% false, unless your internet is that bad

I’m east coast and played on Whitemane and had 64 ping.

For high-level arena, 64 ping vs 14 ping “will” make a difference… especially in a rogue vs. rogue (sap opener) scenario… Guessing you don’t pvp much?

Another question / observation: Won’t the horde on Whitemane get bored when all the alliance leave? Seems like an issue for both sides, no?

They did. It was called “Cross Realm”. It was a terrible idea.

If you don’t care about World PVP yeah you can just join the borg collective on Benediction. I’m a west coast player and I play on East Coast servers and things are mostly fine. I think the arena servers are hosted in different places because you’ll still queue vs whoever but I may be wrong on that.

64 ping won’t make a difference lmfao.

2100 isn’t “high level arenas”

“Don’t care about world pvp,” meaning the ms/latency discrepancy, you mean?
And how does one confirm that statement about arenas being hosted on a designated server? That would be great news, if factual.

Benediction is going 99% ally, that’s what I meant by that part. if your main concern is the ms/latency to be competitive in arenas but you like Bene server otherwise you’re probably fine. Raid times should be fine for you too if you care because other Pacific guilds moved there.

You can and should research the arena server thing before paying money. I think it’s like the battleground servers where they are hosted on East Coast or West Coast or whatever, that’s why the OCE thing was a big deal. I may be wrong, however.

There is Grobbulus which is West Coast and a good server depending on what you want (you definitely need to respect RP) but I don’t like to recommend it to alliance that would be perfectly fine with Bene. They are trying to keep a balance there and need horde, not allies. I don’t know if you have arenas partners you typically run with and what their plans are either so maybe you should all research together.

Blizz needs to merge Faerlina and Bene

You probably shouldn’t have played on a PVP server if you weren’t prepared to be attacked by the enemy faction. That’s what PVP servers are dedicated for.

Soon. They’ve addressed the issue but coming up with a solution has proven to be quite difficult.

This is such a bad take.

When people rolled on pvp servers it was at Classic launch when almost all pvp servers were balanced.

Now that all pvp servers are 85%+ of one faction it is no longer a pvp server. You really consider 10 VS 1 wpvp don’t you lmfao.

I get what you’re saying, but the ruleset doesn’t change.

People don’t seem to talk about faction balance issues on Normal servers, and IIRC people were saying even before P2 of WoW Classic that all PVP servers would end up being almost completely one-sided.

So, while it sucks that change happens, probably the easiest/safest way to deal with faction balance issues are to transfer or reroll onto a Normal server. We might suspect that servers that are currently one-sided will remain, but who knows? Where are Stalagg, Skeram, Heartseaker now?

I understand the rules don’t change but I don’t think anybody really expected balanced servers to last at least I didn’t because they didn’t last back then either.

World PVP no longer does anything. If people want balance PVP they can just go into a battleground or in arena

I find it sad, one of my most cherished memories from TBC was doing world PVP in Isle of Quel’Danas, at this rate I will never experience that again, since balanced servers just don’t exist anymore.
