I don’t think this would be a good idea. It just means people playing to get their honor gear (if they are mostly intent on arenas) cycle out of the system even faster.
I think the rewards should be aimed at PvE players to draw in players who are not currently doing any PvP (I am among them). Perhaps a badge from a win, and a reasonable chance at a badge on a loss? I think that would draw in a lot of PvE players into the pool.
Granted they wouldn’t be geared or experienced relative to the typical Horde pug and they’d lose a lot, but match quality is already garbage because there’s not a proper matchmaking system in place matching players of equal skill/gear level, or premades against other premades. And dedicated Alliance PvPers don’t pug anyways, so Alliance pugs already get stomped about as badly as Horde pugs.
Short version is I think the issue isn’t lack of Alliance population, it’s lack of actively PvPing population. Incentives should be aimed at drawing in the Alliance not currently in the PvP pool, rather than encouraging those already in it to continue doing so or making it more efficient.
And PvP participation as a whole is going to suffer as long as pugs are routinely stomped into the dirt by premades from either faction, which is not fun to be on the receiving end of. Add a damn matchmaker with hidden MMR, try and make balanced games. And try to match premades against other premades where possible.

I am saying mine doesn’t as well as so many other Alliance that it’s widely known. It’s part of the reason Alliance don’t queue and we’re even in this thread in the first place.
They’re crying because they don’t get it for just showing up. It requires winning the BG which means they can’t just AFK lossbot and get it.

Oh so you’re afking an AV to post on the forums? Discord won’t like that. Good thing I’ve seen 2 of the largest NA AV premade discords posted today. Be easy to have them look for afkers in their groups.

I get your logic here, but as a PvE player, I would tread lightly with this suggestion. I don’t want anything for PvE behind a PvP wall. Wintergrasp was the one thing I hated about WotLK. More of what you can get otherwise…maybe, but it is a slippery slope.
I dont think they mind. I was only 2nd in healing for the current bg 50 reinforcements left be out soon.

Rewarding EVERYONE with a daily badge quest and activating same faction BGs would see the amount of participants skyrocket. There’s literally no reason to only reward one faction for a perceived imbalance that is mostly caused by a limited audience revving their engies to 9krpm about it.
