Alliance Siege of Boralus water skip

Is it possible to do without water walking? I don’t have the mount, and whenever I jump in the water I can never jump up to the level and just die to the shark

If you have a shaman with you they could cast water walking on you. If you are with a mage or priest they can levitate or feather fall you. If you are with a warlock you can gate across.

Yeah I was wondering if it’s possible without any of that. 95% of the time there’s a method (on this druid I travel form leap) but I had my first run yesterday on my pally where I just couldn’t get up and had to be rezzed lol. If not guess I’ll wait for mount equipment

Just buy Sea Mist Potions they are cheap. Or a glider. Personally I just cast slow fall, mount up, run and jump, I land on the other side every time.

I don’t think you can jump from the water to the dock itself. I believe you can only jump into one of the boats, and then to the dock. It’s been awhile since I fell in the water, but that’s always how I’ve had to get out.

Never played a druid, so I’m not sure how you can get across. I’ve got a grappling hook that’s pretty foolproof, and I used to use flying serpent kick on my monk, which was a bit less reliable if I didn’t aim it right.

The only time I fall in the water is when someone casts slowfall, because when I try to drop down to the first dock, it just plops me in the water for no reason.

You can’t use gliders in dungeons anymore. Blame rogues who used them to skip nearly all of Nelth’s lair for their Outlaw hidden artifact appearance.

You’re a Druid, prowl around the corner and jump directly down onto the dock, nothing will see you if you use the correct angle.

It’s barely even worth doing, you can go under the boardwalk and kill 1 pack of mobs. Someone literally always dies trying to do it so you save no time at all really.

That’s not how you do it, if you cast slow fall, you have to jump mounted ( from the top ) to have enough speed. then you land on the platform easily. If you do not mount you do not have the speed to clear the water. As i said earlier, sea mist potion are super cheap and makes it easy ( you do have to jump as you walk over the water though).

Also the instance model is the exact same than Boralus, so you can practice the jump or what ever method you wanna use in Boralus itself ( not the instance ), honestly after a few practices it become super easy.

As a Druid, you can jump while in stag form and then use Wild Charge to basically double-jump. Failing that, you can use Wild Charge in humanoid form to fly to someone who’s already on the dock.

You can travel form and wild charge across, landing on the walkway

I’m not sure if Paladins have a way to do it, but if you have a friendly Druid in your group, you can always catch a ride. =P Shaman and DKs can both give water walking if you ask. Mages can give you Slow Fall. Priests can give you Levitate, or Leap of Faith you out of the water. After 8.2, inflatable mount shoes will allow you to water walk with any mount.

I just jump down on my mount and then heroic leap in mid air. I think druids can do something similar.

Water walking mounts don’t always work. Seen people die plenty of times on a strider.

That isn’t an issue of the water walking mount not working. That is an issue with the player being slow/mis-timing the jump/jumping down instead of simply falling down (which results in fall damage breaking the water walking effect if they were already mounted).

Water walking always works. The player behind the mount on the other hand may not always work.

It doesn’t though. There are plenty of times even out in the world that the strider doesn’t float for no discernable reason.

I’ve seen people die even after mounting after they jump down the sea level platform.

OTOH running under the boardwalk to kill the single Enforcer/3 nonelite pack that is directly in front of the Horde entrance is an absolutely foolproof way to ensure nobody is eaten by sharks.

Druid: wild charge in travel form or leap to an ally in humanoid form.
Warrior: heroic leap
Warlock: gate (can help others others)
Mage/Priest: Slow fall/Levitate (can help others)
Shaman/DK: Waterwalking (can help others)
Hunters: disengage
Rogues: shadowstep to an ally/grappling hook if outlaw
Demon hunters: I suppose their leap/charge/something helps
Paladins: charge with divine steed and pray to the light
Monks: not sure if zen meditation works there

This problem doesn’t happen with the camera angle upwards; make sure you adjust it while holding the right clic of your mouse.
