“The Alliance will learn of Saurfang's escape from a Horde hero in their midst and try to understand how a prisoner escaped from under their nose.”

It would be nice, but I think this may be your Robo-Cat moment for this expansion.
You get to 'see' the scenerio with Saurfang as it is being 'told' to you by a witness who was there, like how the faction specific fights occur in BFA.
I expect we'll see more 'second hand' scenerios like this as the faction war grinds on.
Yeah, I'd expect it to be something along the lines of how you see the other side's raid bosses in Dazar'alor.

...Are we partying with Zekhan?
Cuz I'll party with Zekhan.

I appreciate the sentiment, but him chilling with the Alliance is NOT what we need right now.
Check back next expansion, when we're allowed to acknowledge that the world is richer for both of us being in it.

I mean who else knows that Saurfang is out and would tell us?
Ranger Lady-with-Nathanos-voice?
Why is the Alliance so willing to take help from the enemy, I mean even if Genn himself offers to kill Saurfang for us, I'll say no while trying to put my sword thru his face.
It's going to be interesting when the greater Alliance learns Anduin just let Saurfang go.
I can't imagine the night elves and Kul Tiras will be happy. I hope that it's not just handwaved and the Alliance suddenly supports this. Tyrande talking back to Anduin was a good sign.

Somehow I doubt Jaina has given up her desire to “dismantle the Horde.” Anduin setting Saurfang is basically him trying to defeat Sylvanas the same way Varian defeated Garrosh, complete with both sides leaving the War more or less intact. Jaina may be more willing to assert her position over Anduin than she was with Varian.
It's nice that the Alliance gets to see a scene with Saurfang swearing loyalty to Anduin.

So... yeah, all that desire to dismantle the Horde was her guilt, regret, feelings of hopelessness and powerlessness from multiple events compounding. She actually got sent to a literal tartarus and was tortured with them, and is now on the road to recovery. Hence why she is now the one to put the brakes on pressing the attack after the Dazar'alor raid.

Partly because the Alliance's entire objective is wrapped up in Sylvanas, NOT the Horde writ large. Narratively speaking our beef isn't with you, again.

I just watched the scene on youtube, and as someone struggling with those same feelings, I really hate how apparently all it takes is just a few days in memory limbo and now she's going to be all better. I'm actually angrier having watched it.

I don't think they could actually go through with making the alliance have inner turmoil or look evil in any way. Even the Vulpera purge squads were strictly ordered not to kill any vulpera.
Maiev is begging sira not to be her enemy instead of shouting die you undead monster.
Tyranda is stasis locking and begging her undead sisters to fight the darkness.
Even with her demanding anduin go to darkshore, genn joins her. So it seems like the alliance is getting along just fine. This will be a moment of wtf, followed by everyone seeing anduins side and letting it go.
Genn provides Gilnean troops, Tess included, but he stands with Anduin and helps lead the attack on Dazar'alor.11/08/2018 07:55 PMPosted by GranfaloonEven with her demanding anduin go to darkshore, genn joins her. she wasn't a few days, she was probably weeks or months in there.
and she now has a new pillar to support it, and a newfound motivation. now, i don't know how do you struggle in your personal life, but she is still recovering. she is not okay, only that she is more or less the same character that was in tides and war crimes.

interesting, i hope that tyrande finds out that anduin let saurfang escape, and hopefully this conflict grow stronger, and a double rebellion, this would lead to alliance characters having to do more interesting choices , i kinda like it.
@Sarm, time...doesn't necessarily work the way it does normally in Thros (Its linked to the Shadowlands, the Nightmare, and the Dream). Also, even if it did, I don't think 8.0 content is supposed to be considered only a week or less.
*shrug* I can't help if you don't find it convincing. But it is supposed to be a torturous event.

I more of meant in a supporting sense.
If she's still recovering, then it's stupid to have put her in any sort of leadership position. Supports don't always keep you grounded. Her personal hell should always be with her, eating away at her, and not something she can metaphorically leave behind in Thros.

Her metaphorical hell HAD been with her, building to the breaking point, all the time since Daelin. This was essentially a cathartic release/point of move on. It is important to remember these are Characters, not real live people. And Blizzard has always told morality plays.
I think I'm getting too personal with this. I just don't like the implication that there should ever be an end-point to her emotional suffering, though. Improve, sure, but never move past it.
