Alliance rude compared to horde

Why do alliance not group up for kill quests, throw around buffs, etc. very antisocial faction. Cannot recommend.

I have people inviting me to groups and giving me buffs when I run by all the time

Watched a Rogue roll need on a Fire Wand, immediately leave group and start selling it in general.

Classic is still the same

I agree.

First time playing Alliance and wow these people are absolutely awful.

Today I did a quest where thereā€™s a long dialogue and then a guy spawns and you have to kill him. A person runs in last second, tags the mob after I stood there waiting for the dialogue, declines the party invite. Like just why?! Why behave like this. Do the quest yourself.

People would rather tag 3 mobs and then die to them then let you tag one.

People refuse to group for escort quests or quests with long respawns.

People refuse to help each other in literally any way.

Iā€™ve never seen people in classic behave this way. The game is about community and quality interactions. Not about being a selfish jerk and prioritizing your own gameplay above ever single other person on the server.

If I see someone about to die, I save them. If I made extra bags leveling tailoring I gift them away to lower players. I actively go out of my way to improve the experience of the people Iā€™m interacting with. Itā€™s beyond frustrating when 99% of other players donā€™t behave the same way. Feels like the game has become a reflection of how people behave in the real world. Selfish. Self-centered. Narcissistic.

The ā€˜vanilla playersā€™ who wanted Vanilla servers and signed the petition have been shoved out and replaced with Retail players and toxic private server players. Thatā€™s whatā€™s happened.

Iā€™ve had both good and bad encounters so far.

Worse was getting ready to run a dm when I as healer got kicked from group due to ā€œanother person able to heal was closerā€ ā€œI was in the Inn at westfall and they were at the summon stoneā€

Best was a lot of friendly co-op around redridge working on quest.

Zaalg, I swearā€¦ Every thread I see you in, Iā€™m like ā€œthis dude is rightā€. Iā€™ve legitimately agreed with every post Iā€™ve seen of yours today. Thatā€™s unusual because Iā€™m kind of a jerk and contrarian sometimes, so I rarely agree with anyone more than once.

This is exactly what happened. Moving on to other things. I hope these people all destroy each other.

Just like what happened in Wrath. 2008-2009 is when the game started losing its touch with me.

Iā€™ve played alliance since vanilla and finally trying out horde this go around and shocked at how nice everyone is.

If I can do it on my own then Iā€™ll do it on my own. Gold is precious early on. Iā€™m not dividing it and Iā€™m not sharing loot and exp. Itā€™s not personal.

If I were to venture a guess, itā€™s because Alliance is the ā€œbetterā€ faction for PvE. So you get more of the dudebro parse types rolling Alliance, at least on the PvE server. Horde were MUCH more chill.

Had someone comment that they wish they could see the degeneracy of Barrens chat in Elwynn last night and itā€™s like ā€œMy guy, having just been in the Barrens on my Shaman. Itā€™s FAR more degenerate and deranged hereā€.

I find it hilarious they always have a babysitter.

Some high level player just babysitting low levels as they quest because they are too awful to pvp without protection.

I believe itā€™s the retailers possessing these characteristics. Theyā€™ll leave in the next month or two.

You have great taste.

Was the same in 2019, SODā€¦

Many playing now, are not from back in the days, itĀ“s all about rushing to 60 nowadays. I saw some bad stuff in chat already, forbidden symbolic was used.

That being said, I was invited for many quests already, but people disband right after the quest is done. In 2004, you stayed in group, did chat about this and that, nowadays you can be lucky to get a TY.

Itā€™s definitely a mix of player types.

Did a BFD, everyone was hilarious, cracking jokes, having an awesome time. Everyone was also really good at the game and we we just plowing through.

Did another BFD immediately after. Three people didnā€™t say a single word the entire time. The one person that did type, the only thing he said was ā€œlook my mana.ā€ We disbanded after and nobody said thanks or anything.

Iā€™ll just have to try to find a guild full of the first type of player.

Iā€™ve experienced the same with both factions. Itā€™s a lot worse on pvp servers.

From best community to worst:

RP > PVE > PVP

No RP servers this time unfortunately but it does seem like the PVE server got a decent number of RPers. Have seen a few guilds advertise themselves as RP guilds.

Hope you do I would like to find that as well being a disabled player I get treated pretty poorly. Finding understanding and decent people now days on wow is impossible I have tried for so long and itā€™s depressing because WoW was always my escape from my physical excruciating pain I deal with daily.
