Is there any scneario you’d use the 3 piece set for rogue? I’m currently bwl geared mostly on the rogue with like daggers rag dag, offhand zg etc. all the items seem inferior other than the dagger perhaps as an offhand. the set bonus looks nice but 10 energy not sure worth it

According to this, it’s worth it until you have AQ40 gear for those slots. The dagger is better than Core Hound Tooth, meaning it’s the best offhand other than AQ40 and R14 weaps. The cloak is also good on its own.

all that really seems to say is it’s slightly worse than all phase 4 offhands, cloak isn’t better than firemaw cloak and ring is terrible. - the link didn’t seem to analyze the 3 piece bonus i’ll look closer, didn’t see it

- Undead sword rogue in full p4 bis (no maladath): 1211.37 dps
- Undead sword rogue in full p4 bis + veiled shadows set: 1216.97 dps (+5.6 dps)
So basically a sizable upgrade for dagger rogues and a smaller but okay upgrade for non human sword rogues who don’t have a maladath."

I would never use the AQ20 ring over Accuria or Master Dragonslayer Ring on my rogue so that automatically rules out 3/3.
I really like that 3 piece bonus, I mean a 10 energy SnD especially if you are a pve rogue and use improved SnD then that bonus is godlike… however the ring is pretty bad, cloak is ok, dagger is ok. I’m almost exalted and gonna test it out but I probably won’t stick with it.
I have the AQ40 armament dagger atm so need C’thun dagger next. Which is my main goal right now. So depending on if it drops or not will determine if I use that dagger
Of course you wouldn’t use the ring over accuria/MDR as a stand-alone but with the 3pc set it sims better than MDR. You need at least a pugio and brood revered ring to replace it.
My understanding was that if you have improved Slice and Dice, wouldn’t that make the bonus worse and not better?
You would essentially be using slice and dice less, and thus saving less energy, or am I wrong about something?
less energy cost means more energy toward damage abilities. some boss battles i use slice and dice a few times per fight, so any energy saved is benefitial, regardless of improved SnD or not
IMHO not worth it if you get AQ40 weapons, Death’s sting+Pugio will be doing far more than the 10 energy off Sandy, the ring is also really meh and the cloak while not trash isn’t anything to write home about.
I mean yes if you have the BiS weapons for P5, this set is not worth not using them. lol
Yeah it’s catch up gear. I thought about getting them anyway, but decided I didn’t want to waste idols and scarabs on something I probably wouldn’t use.
Accuria Or MDR actually sims lower than veiled shadows ring when 3 piece set is in place.
Until you have weapons out of AQ40, it’s pretty much the best setup out there.

cloak is 100% better than firemaw and baron
offhand is better than CHT and DFB
the only bad item is the ring
the 3 set is worth it until using until you have 2 pugios or DS/pugio
