Which is fine. Heck i wouldn’t even object to full premades being allowed on both sides. One side being able to while the other can’t is flatly ridiculous and Blizzard should have stopped it a LONG time ago.
Honestly, the only reason Blizzard is putting a stop to the premades is because they were screwing over the Alliance who were not in them by forcing AV games to start 15v40 every time they dropped queue. This is also being addressed.
Wait, i thought Blizzard was Horde favored. You’re saying they only fixed it because of Alliance whining? Interesting
I would suggest waiting a few days or a week before you do that. The ‘premade breaking fix’ is already live on other countries (they had the reset one day before WoW NA reset) and from what has been seen so far, Blizz Devs took the quick and easy route so the ultimate effect might not be what you expect.
Any step is a positive one.
The premades were essentially mass griefing their own faction. Blizzard couldn’t stand by and do nothing. The Classic forums have been almost nothing but AV complaints for weeks. It finally reached critical mass.
I’m sure the regional average server ratio of Horde to Alliance (3:1) has absolutely nothing to do with that, right?
Except that’s not at all true. PVP servers were EXTREMELY close when it started, EXCEPT Farlina which was Alliance heavy due to streamers. Blizzard stated this themselves that populations were on average 55/45. As close as you can expect from just random character creation.
Again, the real problem was many of those Alliance didn’t actually pvp, before or after season 2. So despite numbers being equal you were out numbered. THEN you fled to other servers, and the problem got worse for those who didn’t.
You can pull numbers out of your butt but that doesn’t make them real.
Ok, but the thing is, no matter what the ratio an AV game is 40vs40 and should be fair. The decision to form premades are on the players, it is absolutely not necessary for a game. You can argue that the instant queue due to imbalance makes this possible, but again, you don’t NEED to do these premades, it is the players decision to do that.
To be fair, same could be said for the overwhelming number of hardcore pvpers to roll horde too, biggest problem is Xrealm servers bg’s, they shouldn’t of put that in until much later and forced One faction to swap or transfer and suicide servers instead of ruin everyone AV.
These aren’t numbers I pulled out of my a$s. They’ve been the averages since they first started taking the census of classic. PVP servers were NEVER extremely close.
Yes they were.
Lots of things should be fair, but they aren’t. Blame Blizzard for not enforcing faction queues on that one. I don’t think it’s fair to have to do 8-10 corpse walks just to get into BRM, but here we are.
Right, I guess all the census sites are just using a random number generator. Grow up.
All the faction sites use flawed methodology and their numbers weren’t even close to right. Blizzard themselves stated faction balance was at 55/45.
Care to share that info?
No, why would he?
Same reason you are posting on a retail character. If you gaslight and are caught you better get some facts.
Where did blizzard state this?
I only post on my Classic toon for RP.
