it’s because peeps are q’ing for the reward only
hardly anyone is q’ing ally bg’s for the compelling experience
so they basically q up, size up whether the current mob mentality of this bg looks good or bad, and then act accordingly (minimal activity, partial afk, bail, vent at players, etc)
you can really tell which activities are fun and compelling by whether peeps do them regardless of reward or progression

After 12 years of playing as Alliance with multiple different races, I finally just initiated a faction transfer. I can’t handle the overall lack of skill and cohesiveness that is present on Alliance side. I can already say I do not miss team Blue.

it was either a blood elf pally, or a cow pally. I am not down to look at a cow the rest of my wow days.
