Alliance PvP summed up in one sentence

Personally I never buy into the idea of aging playerbase being a factor for anything. The first person I met in WoW was a guy in his 50s. My first guild was run by people in their 30s and 40s. My 9yo plays WoW and many of the older players I’ve known have left. For every player who started in vanilla and is now in their 30s-40s, new players have started playing, many of them younger. I’d wager the average age of WoW players is about the same now as it’s always been.

Are new players still coming to this game?

I’ve met quite a few recently, so it would appear that they are.

That actually surprises me a bit. But hey, good.

Most of the people I know in WoW right now started in their teens/early 20’s and are now in their late 20’s/early 30’s. I haven’t seen many kids (under 18) playing that I’m aware of. I’ve only seen a couple of “new” people. It doesn’t mean they’re not out there, but I honestly don’t think they’re coming here en masse.

It seems like only now with the upcoming patch has Blizz realized that if we’re going to be bringing in new players, that there should be good ways to get them participating with others.

I do expect a small influx of returning players once Classic drops, but I expect that to slow after about 90 days.

Don’t do WM.
I left WM months ago and never looked back. WoW PvP is a joke and WPVP is the punch line.
