And that is not what has caused anything else to appear unfair in the game to date? But it only matters now that its your faction that has the advantage?
I understand all the words in those sentences, but I have no idea what they mean when used in that order given the context.
The system is designed to incentivize the under-represented faction to be better represented, and that is the effect it is having. It’s clunky and its haphazzard and it should be dynamically scaling rather than a week-long buff, but from a meta point of view it’s at the least doing what it should do in a long-term sense.
I’m saying that there has always been a reason for what forum clowns perceive as bias. But now that its alliance benefiting from it in such an obvious way, that carries over into raiding gear advantage, we’re all normalising bias as a perfectly justified balance mechanic. And yes it’s bias; one that probably your average player won’t see a whole lot in their favour. But those who are good players and know how to take advantage of it, yes for them it is certainly a bias they can use.
But can the devs ever admit to being wrong?
It’s no more biased than warmode was in the first place; in that, its equally available to both sides to be gamed in the same exact way. It is literally impossible for one side to benefit from this “bias” without the otherside already benefiting from the bias inflicted by dominating war mode in the first place (permanant 10% boost with no increased quest downtime).
Unless you are trying to imply that one side is more intelligent and thus more capable of exploiting the benefits of the buff, bias is not the correct word to use in the context.
Perhaps I’m more suggesting that skilled players can indeed game it. While it exists for the majority fumble fingers player, the skilled are absolutely going to use it if they can. The way it seems to be right now that gives the skilled on the alliance a pretty hefty advantage over the skilled on the horde.
The Horde warmode buff is out numbering the alliance 6 to 1.
You guys have complete domination over war mode. What more do you boyos want?
Because that isn’t how sharding works. I’ve been outnumbered on both sides. I’ve had both horde and alliance shut down hubs and totally outnumber the opposition. Overall numbers don’t make a toss of difference in a specific locale.
The problems with warmode are fundamental and sticking a bias bandaid over it isn’t going to make much of a difference. People who don’t want to PVP still won’t.
No, you’re totally right. Blizzard didn’t look at the numbers before they decided to just chuck the mechanic in. They should have just asked Crapula the 80 Tauren Warrior for the inside scoop.
Sorry it is. I really don’t care it on. War mode is fun with more people. Still it is A bias mechanics because it does favor one side or other. What you are trying saying that a reward that is offered to fulfill something that is offered to both side is not the same. That reward is offered no matter what fraction. Based on the need for the role to do something. This is offered to only one side to get them to do something. It really does not matter what side gets it really. It still a bias offer because it favors only one side. Does it change anything nope. Just what is, a bias thing for one side. Not bad or good thing really. Games tend to swing one or other way.
It seems like the buff is working, more alliance are playing in WM, so… not enough alliance to fight against, not any more! Grats, alliance to kill, I’m not seeing hte problem, working as intended.
Well as long as they bring back PvP servers. Sure.
We have to have some outlet for all this Warcraft we have built up in us.
Somewhere. Somebody. Needs some killing done. LOL
The problem will be apparent when everyone is done leveling alts or that 370 pc is obsolete.
Oh thats right. They will just bump it up to 385+.
Can that pc TF/WF? LOL
Truely, the only solution I can think is …
(a) remove the buff.
(b) If a zone is imbalanced… switch the players’ faction side until it is balanced.
© if a zone becomes imbalanced… shuffle switch again. until it is balanced.
Then…
(1) no one can complain about the buff.
(2) no one can complain about being at a disadvantage.
Oh, and since it is world PvP, don’t allow for groups/raids… you are on your own sucka.
Then and only then we’ll see who REALLY wants to world PvP when there is no such thing as an uneven advantage… no more claiming one side is better (when it’s just advantage) or that it’s not worth it (disadvantage).
To be honest i never started warmode lol. I will say though if horde wish to continue to cry they are welcome to the 30% buff for all i care.
I wouldn’t be so sure. Let’s consider the possibility that people turn it on only to do the 370 quest and turn it off again afterwards.
Weird considering only one faction ever gets these buffs, literally ever. That’s favoritism.
Horde players are just as disgusted with PvP at the moment, with alliance requiring 2x’s the rewards we get to do the same exact thing. F-A-V-O-R-T-I-S-M
After Vanilla, I kinda did not enjoy world pvp. What in on something, I did not even turn on War mode even with the buff lol. If I wanna pvp, I just que up for arena or bgs. Alot of alliance players still wont turn on war mode. So for the horde to get the buff is something that might never happen. Since alot of alliance players dont even turn it on and there are way to many horde currently.
Just like how they’ve had a permanent 50% extra honor since Legion. You cry hard enough, Blizzard will give you anything.
imagine caring about Warmode
