With 2024 coming to a close and heading into 2025 which Faction do you find yourself playing more? Talking about US servers in general who do you think has a higher population of Active nowadays? Horde or Alliance? Myself personally I have noticed the Alliance population growing. I use to see no Alliance in Open world. Now I see more allys than Horde on some days
As a side note… DO you think US servers are more Horde or Alliance now days? Please reply with personal opinions just based off what you have experienced or seen in the game lately. If you know any active Census Websites share that too!
I know when they opened the floodgates to a lot of this cross faction gameplay that a lot of my friends have quit their Horde toons and are now playing their Alliance Toons instead.

Only blizz knows the numbers and they arent going to tell us. But most likely alliance since horde died off when cross-faction was enabled and we no longer had to play horde to raid anymore.
RealmPop was the most reliable, but Blizzard cut off that particular API stream during BfA so they had to close up shop.
At the time, Realmpop was tracking a 52/48 H/A split, after the previous 2 expansions had been 52/48 A/H (so flipped).
That’s for overall max level characters, of course.
On the high-end, whether ranked PvP, high-end M+, or RWF raiding, people are overwhelmingly playing Alliance races because of their completely overpowered racials.
Yeah what brought up this conversation is after looking closely at my battle tag friends list this past month? Pretty much everyone I know on it and have played with for years seem to always be on Alliance characters.

After the faction conflict ended there’s no reason to play more animalistic/tribalistic races other than if you love their aesthetic which I don’t think is the case for much of the playerbase.
Whereas before there was kinda a cool feeling to being the ‘bad guy’ as say a Tauren stomping out the goody alliance two shoes.
I crossed the line and it had nothing to do with racials. I was “For the Horde!!!” since 2005 up until ole Sylvy pulled the Helm of Domination apart. I couldn’t take anymore of what they had done with most/all of my beloved factions leaders so I jumped ship like any fair-weather fan would.
Not that the Alliance leaders have gotten much better treatment, but man did they massacre my boy beyond my belief.
No, because Horde players aren’t begging on their hands and knees for cross-faction play, like Alliance players did. Seems like you missed the point entirely of why the Alliance should have been merged into the Horde, rather than the other way around (since the Alliance playerbase collectively surrendered; Horde players are doing nothing of the sort).
There can be no question that Blizzard has been doing everything they can to drive people away from the Horde for years, now, whether the bungled Horde-hating story in one expansion after another, to the massively overpowered racials that Mythic end-bosses are designed around having.
I have five alliance characters and one horde character. If there was ever a faction unlock, and a race class unlock to go with it I would probably make some gnome, druid and paladins and take them over to the horde.
Team horde, for terribly shallow reasons. My first dnd character was a half orc, and ever since then I have made orc characters whenever the option presents itself*. At least initially. I have made a toon of every horde race and a few worgen by now.
*Heh, I even modded FFXIV at one point to give Roe pointed ears and tusks. I don’t have a problem you have a problem
i mostly play alliance simply because i like their cities better but im no stranger to horde either because i cannot get enough of goblins. i love those little green greedy hotties.
