Whatever victory you feel you’ve gained by denying grizzly, triple it, because that’s the victory THEY feel they’ve gained by not allowing three other guilds to get it also.
This isnt an exploit though. If Grizzly had been a little more cooperative/loved by their own faction, the Horde would have never been able to hold that area the entire time.
Theres the PvP solution. Maybe dont be the biggest group of toxic NEETs to your server-mates and maybe this kinda stuff wouldn’t happen to you. It sucks some guilds got caught in the crossfire, but thats the way it goes.
Nah dude pretty sure they are way more butt hurt about not getting scarab lord. Grizzly are in no way shape or form feeling “victorious” because other Alliance guilds didn’t get it. You are making that up haha. Peep the discords and you will see. It’s crickets from Grizzly.
While I think it’s hilarious what happened to Grizzly as a Stalagg native, people saying there was a pvp response to this are hiding behind that narrative. There was 500-600 horde there lagging out the zone to keep the mob in combat, which also constitutes another blizzard no-no (Zone Disruption). And it prevents people from actually pvping to get it done.
Not to mention the other alliance guilds caught in the crossfire.
If Blizzard doesn’t step in due to their own previous actions about such things I would be very surprised.
Why didn’t they get a raid or two together and kill the Horde so they could turn in the quest? If they’re organized enough to get the mats for Scarab Lord, getting a couple raids to push the Horde back long enough to turn in the quest should be easily within their ability, especially if there were three guilds blocked at the time.
Are you truly telling me that three guilds couldn’t get together a raid or two to fight Horde?
Horde should be suspended and/or banned for said griefing and zone disruption.
Grizzly should get the mount and title.
As should the other three guilds.
You’re advocating for a half / biased measure which isn’t how it’s going to work. If they do step in, and they should, Grizzly will receive it as well. Like I said before, I think it’s hilarious that it happened in particular to Grizzly. But if our blue overlords intervene, they will be able to get the quest and mount complete as well.
I guess they’ll get their shot on a fresh classic server after their bans expire lol. Griefing through PvP is one thing. Abusing the automated systems of a game is another.
If Grizzlys Scepterbearer hadn’t been banned for 72 hours then he would have been able to get in and turn in the quest earlier. It’s a 10 hour war, not a 3 hour war. Heck it was 13 hours ok Pagle. That’s 100% on Grizzly, not the horde. Same with the other guilds that didn’t get theirs turned in. Early bird gets the worm.
Griefing and Zone Disruption are only things when there is no PvP solution available. Anyone that attacked the dragon gets flagged PvP, even on PvE servers, meaning that there’s a PvP solution available.
They received their punishment for abusing the automated system. Just because you don’t believe it was harsh enough doesn’t mean they weren’t disciplined. Their suspensions came off during the 10 hour event. I mean, nice try though.
Our plan was to pack the area with Horde to overrun the Alliance in PvP…not disrupt gameplay and lag the server out or whatever. That wasn’t our intent so stop acting like it was, it was a side effect of us trying to PvP. That is a technological shortcoming on Blizzard’s part.
Holding the boss in combat is just what Grizzly would have done anyways. They vowed Horde wouldn’t have 1 Scarab Lord before the event dropped. Woops.
And acting like that technological shortcoming wouldn’t be an advantage is also an example of you being dense. Please read my posts again, I think it’s hilarious that it happened to Grizzly.
What I’m saying is, despite my personal feelings against Grizzly, I think Blizzard will intercede. And when they do, the things I said previously will happen.
I mean, if you’re worried about being suspended or banned over it in hindsight, maybe you shouldn’t have participated. Otherwise you’re just trying to skirt around it and place the blame elsewhere.
So if they were unbanned they could have gotten say other guilds to help them push the horde out with a PvP solution? I didn’t say it wasn’t harsh enough, but the karma of it all makes me smile.
I bet no one even wanted to help them after the BS they pulled. They got what was coming to them through a valid form of gameplay. It isnt the hordes fault the server cant handle that many people in a zone. I doubt ANYONES intent was to cause lag, they obviously engaged a mob to keep it in combat and brought what they felt like was enough people to keep grizzly out.
Overall this is some great classic wow drama. Regardless of what blizzard does, I promise no one from grizzly is getting the mount lol.
