3 guilds. Not including Grizzly. Chill out with the “so many guilds”.
There were several Horde and Alliance guilds that got Scarab Lord other than those 4.

This. What no one understands, except the Alliance guilds in Tanaris, is that it was the server nearly crashing that kept people from turning in the quest and/or wiping the horde. There was no PvP solution as Tanaris was completely unplayable.
O they understand. But that narrative gets in the way of their vengeance banner so they try to ignore it.
I have put over 30 hours into the grind for my guild. People are really pushing themselves to help out, we are moving around our raid times and composition to help people get their mounts. I am seeing first hand painful this is, and it is spread out over a much longer time than this guild with less competition.
My heart breaks for those three guilds and how disappointed and sad they must be after all that effort. To be denied, not because of everything they did, but because someone saw you as reasonable collateral to harm someone else…
That’s what makes it so wrong for me, the impact of the actions was KNOWN and they still did it anyway. I hate the horde, I would quit the game before playing a horde character, but even then I would not be able to justify this to myself.
Ummm, no Scott?

As someone who was there…the Horde outnumbered the Alliance at least 6 to 1…the lag may have helped prevent it, but they were also SERIOUSLY outnumbered.
It still wouldn’t have happened. The amount of AoE from Horde was more than enough to keep anyone from rezzing for more than a split second.
To be denied, not because of everything they did, but because someone saw you as reasonable collateral to harm someone else…
The Horde players tried to get these players in but the Grizzly players kept trying to sneak in with them.
At this point it’s almost entirely on the Grizzly players for not just taking the L, and dragging down their faction with them.
The Horde players tried to get these players in but the Grizzly players kept trying to sneak in with them.
This is correct. And again, they only have Grizzly to blame.
As some one who was also there I can tell you that the quest could have been completed if not for the server lag. Do you realize it took 1-2 minutes after clicking Resurrect for you to appear and then another 30 seconds before your first GCD would go through? After that you had to log out and back in to unfreeze the game… The only true advantage the horde had is that all they needed to do was spam blizzard and rain of fire which was not as impacted by the extreme several minute spell batching at work.

Well, then we disagree. Happens.

They also had the numbers advantage…I think you forgot that. It wasn’t even close.
You’re acting as if the server was playable and then assuming the outcome without knowing.
So you know this guy who is super selfish only ever cares about himself? Will back stab every and everyone to get his way?
Yeah?
Well, we are going to make it so he can’t get his way!
Nice! How you gonna do that?
Well we will make it so that NO one can do the thing
Won’t that stop other people from doing it?
Well only if the selfish person suddenly, for just the once in contrary to years of evidence, for people they don’t like, decide not to be selfish we will let the other people complete it.
That is a genius plan! I see nothing going wrong here.
“Selfish person doesn’t stop being selfish”
Man it is the selfish persons fault that we decided to stop those other guilds from getting scarab lord”
You’re acting as if the server was playable and then assuming the outcome without knowing.
Playable or optimal? Because there is a difference. I was online playing as were hundreds of others.
pvp happened. get over it.
Even if the horde players didn’t have a massively good reason to want to lock out grizzly, that is their right to do so. Everyone could have rolled on PvE knowing the risks.
When did I say they weren’t allowed to do it? They obviously are allowed to do it, otherwise they would be getting in trouble for it. Legality=/Morality
Doesn’t make it any less of a jerk move.
Playable.
The fact is the epic battle that could have played out last night never did. You are acting as if it did. That’s fine. Have your little moment.
My complaint is that the battle never happened because of blizzards garbage servers. Both sides were robbed of that gameplay and we will never know the outcome. So far it appears Blizzard has been silent on the issue. That’s what I care about. I do not care that you think you griefed the Alliance.
The fact is the epic battle that could have played out last night never did.
Epic battle haha…what, when us 600 horde smashed the 150 alliance trying to rez…
You guys had the battle lost in the numbers department. Don’t act like there would’ve been one anyways. We saw you guys on the outskirts and in the graveyards—it was a very short turnout.
Both sides were robbed of that gameplay and we will never know the outcome.
The outcome is that Grizzly didn’t get Scarab Lord. I imagine they will change their guild name to “SERVER LAG” just to try and run away from that fact.
All I can hear is a reversal of the epic shipmaster quote from halo
“Shipmaster, alliance approaching standard line, we have them outnumbered 4 to 1”
“This will be an even fight”
I also imagine the horde art of war is two pages long. First page is zug, second page is zug zug.
Bragging about beating people you outnumber 4 to 1 on a lagger out server is kinda sad.

Not bragging…just defending my point of view and numbers argument. Don’t be so sensitive Nancy.
Haha ohh sweet summer Tauren. Imagine projecting so much that you think everyone is as sensitive as you are.
No honey no, just no…no
I have absolutely zero personally invested in this. It’s just fun. Maybe take it all in stride and be less triggered huh? It’s a forum, for talking about the game.

No projections…I’ll use literal examples from this thread.

Girl, you are mixed up like a milkshake! Ya seem…uh…triggered.
I see a lot of sensitive!
And I’ll quote you to end it:
No honey no, just no…no
