Alliance : most efficient way to get rep in AV?

I need to be exalted in AV and most cases it is impossible for Alliance to win. We had 1000 discussion on this topic so I won’t get into it. I really don’t care about pvp or honor in this char so I am just doing AV for rep.

My observation is most ally rep comes through turn in specially when we loose SHGY. In terms of min/max when is the best time to leave the match including the 15 min deserter buff into consideration?

I know this is sad, but this is reality of current AV .

wait for the bonus weekend, you get more rep but i’m not exactly sure by how much. i went from friendly to revered (zero wins) doing about 16 hours of AV and should have no problem finishing it off next AV weekend. as far as actual gameplay to maximize reputation gain, i have no idea other than loot as many corpses as possible and do your turn ins.

there is also a dude on Incendius alliance that does 15man premades and they supposedly have a 50-0 record. Shoutout to Killeraoc

This is a good topic. I hope you get some replies. Anything, to get me out of AV sooner is a good thing.

There’s a few YouTube videos out there about maximizing AV rep as Alliance but I’m not sure if it pertains to our battlegroup.

I think leaving a match early would be crippling your gains especcially with ally being able to hold druids in place for infinite turn ins. So I would say unless ally lets druids run off and die, stick the match out to the end and get your mark at least.

Best way to get rep is getting the av back to rush drek no towers no galv

Objectives have a 50% rep bonus during AV weekend. Sadly Alliance usually gets 0 objectives, so the when doesn’t really matter too much.

You might also get 50% bonus for the losing faction at end… so what’s that like +50? I have no way to test this :frowning:

Just join Incendius Ally Av Premade. Blizzard as usual won’t stop exploits.

The best way to farm reputation is to be better at PvP than the enemy team.

The answer is that it doesn’t matter what strategy you use: if you do not get HKs you won’t have corpses to loot and therefore nothing to turn in for rep.

If you defend and prolong the game for 1 hour or more, you can earn 300-500 or more HKs and you will have a lot of materials to turn in for rep, plus the HKs themselves.

If you go on the offensive and try to win the battleground within 30 minutes or so, you’ll get reputation from killing the Horde NPCs and completing objectives. You’ll also get more reputation from turning in AV marks, and people can still recall to turn in their loot before game end.

The games where I have earned 2500 or more reputation have been either of these scenarios.

When you lose the battles fast and give up your base within 15 minutes, earning less than 100 HKs - you will get low reputation and honor. There is nothing you can do to avoid this, but the best you can do to salvage that situation is to kill the enemy commanders. Horde will likely draw the game out to complete all of the objectives and kill all of the Alliance NPCs to maximize their rep and honor gain, giving you some time.

Some ppl are talking about holding the druids but idk how to do it.

The constant losses and demoralizing atmosphere is pretty taxing, though I have to imagine the rep gain has to be at least somewhat in line with the Horde equivalent due to the considerably shorter queue times? Or does the Horde still have better rep gains over a similar period of time even with average queues being 2 hours(ish)?

Oh please. Your super skilled horde 40 man group can’t even handle 15 organized players? Pathetic.

So if Horde is preventing any LT kills and also runs a gank squad back to mess with our turn ins we get like, 20 rep for the AV.

Kill horde, loot body, do turn ins. If your team is winning or doing objectives you personally won’t make the difference in that and it will end up as just a bonus for you.

That very much depends. I would guess that horde get a fairly standard amount of rep from each game. Alliance does not. If horde stealthies come to DB very early and kill the quest NPCs and horde sends gank squads to prevent killing of LTs and commanders, the alliance in that game really won’t get any rep other than the turn in of the marks outside of the game. It can also be the case where we get over 1k rep for a game that goes long enough. I was in a game yesterday that lasted almost 2 hours and got over 1.5k rep. I’ve also been in games that lasted 45 minutes or so and the only real rep we got was from killing Lok aside from a very small number of turn ins very early on. I’ve had as low as 50 rep from a game. Average for me is around 450 rep.

Most efficient way to do AV is one game at a time. Back to back if you’re hardcore enough.
