What’s up with that? I’ve been losing most of my Epic BGs, with the exception of Wintergrasp Defense.
I re-rolled Horde recently on Area 52 and I hardly lose any Epic BGs. I think I can count the number of Epic BGs I lost as Horde with the number of fingers I have on one hand.
It wasn’t this bad before Christmas as I would win 50% of the time.
alliance losing bgs, I’ve never heard of such a thing…
Was playing Epic Battlegrounds all day, and 9 times out of 10, the Alliance fell flat on their face.
However, if I joined a Regular Battleground, Horde found themselves losing, and sometimes brutally. It has been seemingly like that since pre-patch, not sure why.
Alliance loses about 3/4 of non-WG epics. And wins WG half the time (since defense always wins).
That’s just how it is. If you want to win epics more often, you have to roll horde.
Personally I think you should get a portion of your daily conquest for a loss because it can be extremely hard to win epics as alliance sometimes.
I don’t know what the actual % of each side winning is, but I’ve won plenty since SL launch? Sometimes you’ll just have a bad run of luck unfortunately.
Maybe it’s better for me on Oceanic, IDK.
I’ve had high success rate in trashran. Only losses were due to an epic fail to take ogre that cascaded to crap storm after. One was double fail… the NPC in the tower and Ogre we blew out our butts.
AV I am at about 50%. Reason for losses was team breakdown over the recent change to need 3 towers. Enough were going meh…you are all full of crap. By the time they saw yes you do need more towers it was already too late to fix.
The other one with docks and glaives (forget name) only lost 1 of many so far. Rule 1 was violated. If you do not know how to use the glaives…do not get in them
Interesting. I honestly hardly ever lose my epic bgs when gearing alts and such. Only a few times and that was a couple of isle where we didn’t rush glaives and defend, ashran which is probably a 60% loss rate, then winning wintergrasp and AV. however, I have been losing a lot of AV since they made it require 3 towers. Only lost WG once and that was on offense.
In my experience Alliance pretty much always loses Ashran, 50/50s WG because of defense/offense, usually loses IoC, and usually wins AV.
Don’t the Horde on average have a greater Ilv over all, and more legendaries…and better internet connection and um, uhh…

Alliance so bad, we lost wintergrasp on defense…ON DEFENSE…
They don’t know how to do it. Or have some people so self minded that they go on independent missions to die tbh attack the enemy alone.
I’d say I’ve seen the extremes of both sides but overall I think it is our attitude that causes us to lose. We actually lost Wintergrasp defensive once against a mere 8 tanks. Literally no on defending east tower they took 8 got in and wham bamn.
Being ex-horde it kinda sucks to sometimes see a defeatist attitude but as people are saying there is renewed hope especially for BGs. I’ve seen some crazy alliance wins in BGs.
Horde gets extra internet bandwidth and better ping.

I joined a game yesterday where the team was losing on defense.
I felt violated even be a part of a team that bad.
You new to bg’s OP? You sound “surprised”, but what you describe is pretty normal tbh
I’ve had a decent number of those games playing my alts, only Alliance can find a way to screw up a “free win” like WG defense 
My alt is doing ok as alliance healer
IOC 66%
Ashran 60%
Wintergrasp 33% (only be defense for 1 of 3 so far so expected value).
AV 50%
I actually won a match on alliance as offense the other day and was supremely shocked. Got the achievement for doing it in under 10 mins too. Was pretty neat.
It is all about who has the most players interested in winning

I recently switched to Horde and we win at least 3/4 of non-WG epics.
I literally switched factions because alliance sucks so much in epics and getting the daily conquest is too much of a pita.
I checked all my other characters and the numbers are similar out of around 200 games I have 127 wins (not counting WG).
That’s from the past though probably many before BfA before alliance sucked so bad. Also do you leave any games? It doesn’t count those.
Never left a game and only started playing in 8.3
I do have 2 accounts with between them 10 level 60s
