Alliance is dying and nothing has been done

Great, now I want to go to Disney World again.

I LITERALLY will pay money to have blizzard create a high level character on my server, play it in BG’s, and tell me that things aren’t screwed up. To make it easier, you could just F*&#ING look at the records of a single person playing BG’s on alliance side and look at their wins/losses ratio. THINGS AREN’T OKAY

Seriously, PLEASE FIX IT

Please for the love of this game, anyone who disagrees with this post, I DARE YOU, to make an alliance character on Korgath, and play 20 BG’s. I almost guarantee you will lose at least 18 of them. Those odds are JUST NOT RIGHT.

Because I have friends on both. Sometimes I’d like to not have to choose between them as if one half of them is infected with The Virus™.

I already said in the post you replied to that I already do play both factions, but it’s still something of a bandaid over a huge issue. A huge issue that doesn’t seem to have a corresponding upside, since the hard split doesn’t add much to the majority of the game.

Correction Alliance raid community is Dying and I say mythic also. They are doing something for alliance. It is just not working out. There is really not much they can do to get players to play on alliance side.
So far they have

  1. Given op racial. Move an cast spells in raids if very op. Is just one of the many op racial.
  2. Give a easy to get raid quality weapon.
  3. Give a bonus of +15% across the board bonus in war mode.

The community asked for and said this will help get more players. So far most not coming to alliance. I find it very strange with all the very good racial they not transferring over. With the perks it should seem a competitive guild should transfer over an yet has not been that way. I due find it odd.

If there’s one thing FFXIV did right, it’s not have a faction system that splits the playerbase. It means they don’t have to produce up to twice the content every xpac like WoW does, and everyone gets to experience quests from all three of their factions without the faction barrier preventing you from mailing stuff to friends or alts.

They still have BGs (wargame skirmishes) and arenas, you’re just a mercenary so faction doesn’t matter.

I feel like it’s high time they did something similar for WoW. The longer the leaders of the horde and alliance go without sitting down to peace talks, the more incompetent they seem. Just merge the two and rename “War Mode” to “Outlaw Mode” where players who use it can fight each other in the open world.

Then add emissary quests for members of each faction to work their way up from “hated” to “trusted” with opposing faction. Could be a lot of fun to have a questline where players wind up assisting Anduin or Thrall and gaining their uneasy trust, allowing them to slowly progress to the point when they’re permitted within the cities of the opposing faction.

Pretty sure someone came up with the solution last week, adding cat girls to the alliance.

Alliance has some of the best racials. That isn’t it. They need to stop being so cringeworthy, revamp SW or rebuild a glorious Lorderon for the Alliance, maybe add some cool races like Sethrak and Broken Draenei, Skinny option for KT. Resurrect Varian. There are so many things they could do.

Alliance is just so … plain vanilla. Just not interesting. It’s 2020, people have moved on from that culture now. Alliance needs fresh faces, fresh races, fresh locations … not just rehashed medieval European fantasy again. It’s just not popular any more.

so, space goats, robots, elves infused with void magic, Molten dwarves and gothic werewolves are not “Fresh”? What freshness does the horde have?

Space goats are boring goody two shoes religious fanatics. Gnomes are a DnD stereotype, mech or no. Same for iron dwarves. Werewolves are also half-human. VEs are new, and are really just reskinned BEs – and now really just BEs with different hair colors.

DO you see the problem? It’s all so … human-centric. Humans and the traditional high fantasy human allies – gnomes, dwarves, elves. Boring.

Horde is orcs and trolls and tauren and zombies. And an edgy take on elves that is not the elf stereotype of Galdriel and such. It’s just more interesting.

Look, I played Alliance for years, from the launch of the game. Horde is just the more interesting faction, and the world changed from the LOTR craze that was going on when the game launched. People are over that now. Alliance is just too staid.

first off, Edgy elves? you do know that Blood Elves and Highborne are more of the other type of cliche’d elves (snooty, elitist variants) and the other four are just typical cliche’d stuff too. and LOTR making humans popular, sorry but last I checked it made Orcs popular due to the whole cockney accents they spoke

Just make Dreadlord Jaina a thing and let her take over Azeroth, then we are all under one ruler and mistress.

Frankly I prefer the smaller community on alliance side.

On Horde I notice there’s far more autism running rampant that no Argent Healer can hope to cure. LFR and BGs are a prime example where if you wipe once/start losing people begin having a mental breakdown while on alli it feels way more chill most the time

Another alliance is dying horde bias devs hate our elves thread. Faction imbalance is a player made problem and its not the Horde’s fault. Deal with it.

Don’t know about anyone else, but your Orc doesn’t change my stance: I don’t want anything to do with the Horde, & certainly don’t wish to be a Orc.

Sorry Greenkeeper but I don’t get why you don’t just make a few horde characters and join your friends? I’ve had characters on both sides for a long long time and its a nice change to switch factions, or at least be able to switch.

On the horde side you can choose to be Orc (x2), Troll (x2), Undead, Blood Elf, Vulpera, Goblin, Pandarian, Nightborn, or Tauren (x2). Thats a whole lot of choices to explore.

If you’re dead set against going Horde then maybe find new raid friends on your server? I really hope you find a solution and feel better

Everybody single faction player should have one cross faction alt if only to know what the other side is up to, and to grab the achieve of course.

I will never understand why this issue still hasn’t been addressed by Blizzard. This is a serious serious problem. Maybe give Horde to Alliance free transfers or something.

And FFS Racials are NOT the dam issue. This argument is like 15 years old and even at that time it didn’t have real merit. It’s a ripple effect of More Horde players = More Raiders to choose from if you’re guild wants to do Mythic Raiding.
