Alliance goblins

i know, gonna get shot-down by people who only want goblins on the horde. but hear me out please… i really want some playable goblins on the alliance, we’ve seen them at holiday events, and running the barber-shop in ironforge, but i still wish i could play one… i dunno. i just… wanna get this little request out there. i half expect it to be trashed in minutes by folks firmly against the idea of goblins on the alliance, but i still feel i needed to make a thread about it.

Imo goblins should have stayed neutral, war is more profitable when you’re selling arms to both sides rather than just one.

There are a ton of goblin factions so I can’t see any reason why one wouldn’t be aligned with the alliance. I mean goblins only care about money so they have no reason not to align with whoever lines theirs pockets. If they did this I would race change several of my characters. Goblins are the master race!

Those goblins are neutral. The only goblins to have declared a faction was the Bilgewater, which is what you are. It makes no sense that they’d suddenly get rid of their neutrality to join the Alliance.

Goblins have favored the Horde since Warcraft 2.

I’d be interested in seeing goblins on the Alliance side, but only if they’re attackable by other Alliance races and they have a debuff of a 500% increase in damage taken from Alli players.

In other words, come on over, but expect to be endlessly hazed.

alliance can get goblins once horde gets dwarves.

Goblins economically are neutral but do appear to morally be aligned towards the Horde. I wouldn’t say no to more races for the Alliance but stop using those darned Goblin shredders!

lorewise, alliance has a Few gobos on our side.

1 is dating a gnome, the other is part of the SI.7.

Why we have gnomes and mecha gnomes

Not to mention that most of their cities were neutral and are still neutral.

I mean, I get why they’re Horde: staple unit from the WC RTS, Horde’s equivalent of Gnomes, and a rivalry for Gnomes, but I was very much hoping they were going to be neutral like Pandaren.

Now, with Vulpera, Horde’s going to have two different small races. I always thought it’d be Alliance with the multiple small races. Definitely didn’t think we’d have two versions of Gnomes, which I’ve heard are already the least played.

All that said, if Blizzard evens out the small races and gives Alliance Murlocs, I’ll be happier than a pig in you-know-what.

Apocryphal rumour was that goblins were going to be neutral initially but then were decided to be made horde only. Neutral would’ve made all the sense in the world, since profit > faction divides.

Alliance has a tendency to be hostile to green things… Goblins, Orcs, Leper Gnomes.

Don’t forget green eyed elves that try to destroy the planet to sate their magic addictions.

That’s what I thought was going to happen with the AR, tbh. Like they did with Void and Nightborne Elves, it was the perfect opportunity to mix race faction combos with alternate versions.

I don’t think there would’ve been a bunch of people opposed to Highmountain Tauren on Alliance or Dark Iron Dwarves on Horde. It definitely wouldn’t have mattered to me, since I play both factions, but it’d have given the purists (stick to one faction) a chance at using a race they might’ve always wanted to but happened to not be available on their faction.

Goblins should have been neutral before pandaren were ever conceived.

Lorewise he’s only ‘alliance’ prior to him going to Mechagon. Currently he’s neutral and even gives the Horde adventures a unique quest to try and convince Gallywix he’s dead.

This comment aged wonderfully lol
