Alliance gets FREE ilvl 400 weekly!? What the!?

Uhm…why would this cause guilds to faction transfer? The running contention forever has been hat horde racials are to strong of an advantage. This 1 extra piece of gear per week is supposed to make up for that?

Seems…unlikely. Unless the feedback on horde racials was just whining all along.

so blizzard couldn’t have fixed racials so they weren’t imbalanced in horde favor ages ago to prevent the mass exodus of top end alliance guilds and pvpers

I don’t mean that as a dig against Alliance, it’s just all this talk about “top end” players switching for racials of all things (the abilities not the physical appearance even) is just silly, and a bit sad.

I know twitch makes it seem like they’re important, but the vast majority of the Horde are not Method.

and yet a bunch of previously alliance guilds have followed there example.
or did you think that magically the mass majority of top guilds and players all just magically selected horde?
that somehow when flipping a coin the top end players all just magically landed on horde?

• The power of all enemies in the Darkshore Warfront will also go up by roughly 15%, and the item level required to queue for Darkshore will go up from 320 to 335.
• Special note: The two Darkshore changes will only take effect after the current Warfront cycle has ended. So if Alliance is attacking Darkshore in a given region when Season 2 begins, and has 3 days left in that attack cycle, that Darkshore will still give Season 1 rewards.
• This is being done to avoid any unfairness to people who had already completed the Warfront or done the world boss just prior to the season rollover.

It’s currently like that for the horde not alliance. Once it opens for the alliance this week they will get the increased ilvl gear.

dang. sounds like an advantage to me that blizzard could have fixed. that blizzard hasn’t fixed, and could have been fixed, and would have left stuff balanced.

no. it’s simply not being stupid.
the majority of the best guilds that were alliance have all changed to horde over the years for a variety of reasons. for example - did you know that 8 guilds alone that were alliance during warlords between now and then have changed to horde? thats 8 minimum. i didn’t do much digging.

It wasnt 20 people… it was droves and yes, The Horde “superiority” is 100% ex-Alliance players who were chasing easymode.

so for example - 4 on 4 with me and 3 of my friends against team secret in age of empires 2 would not be an advantage for team secret?

Being “good” is subjective and in flux, it’s not static.

when almost 90% of the guilds in the world that have cleared Mythic Uldir are all from one faction, something would tell me that something is drawing top guilds to that faction.

sounds like an advantage to me.

Maybe rather than something drawing them to horde, something in the alliance is pushing them away, like the alliance playerbase for example.

Horde racials have proved to be more beneficial and likely more suited to our play style in each past tier on boss fights that matter and this is a trend we expect to continue.

except its the truth. 8 guilds minimum between the end of warlords and now alone have swapped from alliance to horde. that’s just from the top 60 guilds in the world.
