Some time ago, I had a Gnome monk but deleted her. (I disliked her name, anyway; I’d go for something Gnome-ish, vs. something silly, this time.)
I currently have a Mechagnome rogue and monk; still, I’m feeling a pull toward playing either a Gnome rogue or monk. If you’ve a preference for one over the other, please share what it is. (I’m not very interested in racials for the min/ max factor.)

Can’t go wrong either way, Gnome master race!

Great pick on the gnome idea. For the preference, I like rogues more than monks because two of the rogue specs are delightful as opposed to 0 with monks.

Well, Monk gives you more roles to play. Rogue fits gnomes better imo.

A thousand tiny cuts or a thousand tiny fists…

I imagine a gnomish monk would just meditate and use mind control to make people punch themselves.
A lot of golden X-men - DC super villian RP material there.
You could have like a fist that shoots off and hits your enemies and you real it back in.
Or you’re like an evil version of a rigious monk and you just preach some extremely creepy underground mole person doom cult to defeat your enemies by making them their own worst enemy. (Nothing against religious monks, I’ve met some great ones).
Also monk. Imagine Neo from the matrix at two foot five inches.
As for rogue. I like rogues. Gnomes could definitely pull off some mad max energy. Or post apocalypse survival. There’s material there. I am just too tired to keep going with it. Also maybe you’re from the moon and on a secret mission to infiltrate regular gnomish society so like some secret agent thing going on.

I’ve had a Goblin rogue. I always start out liking them; then their accent and spell vocalizations begin to grate on me. To be fair, the spell vocalizations of certain classes for Gnomes also grate on me, which is why certain classes for them are out, as well.
The increased hairstyle options and hair colors of the Gnome race, though…
Oddly, or scarily, enough, both seem appealing. (Playing a Gnome monk amused me in the past.)
The very idea has me
. A tiny monk who mind-controls people into punching themselves… Blizz, make it happen (please).

I already have a Mechagnome rogue, as mentioned in my OP.
I know it’s semi-redundant to consider a Gnome rogue, but I’ll at least do a rogue character trial. (What could it hurt…right?

Ahem Getting back to the topic at hand… If anyone else has a vote for Gnome rogue or monk, please, let me know. If there’s a reason why you find one class more fun to play as a Gnome, feel free to explain. (I always enjoy learning why others enjoy playing the classes that they do.)
Gnome rogue is one of my original race/classes I played since vanilla. Love them. Lots of opportunities to use stab, stabby, kins, lil, short, pint, and smol in the names

Human for every class you can. Diplomacy BiS
Don’t tell the others, but I already have a Human rogue–and a Monk and a Paladin. (If I enjoy a class, as well as various races as that class, I’ll make multiples of said class.
)
You’re a death knight, you’re supposed to be dead inside
I am, no excuse to be factionist though
