soooo why tf dose alliance get a vendor to buy the promotional motorcycle mount from like 2016 but horde is not allowed even tho we won the competition…why dose blizzard have to be like this …
I completely forgot they can still buy that bike… might buy it for my alliance main. how much is it again?
cuz the winner chopper had the license removed from wow
the bike is 100k in stormwind
Little did everyone know that the winner would actually be the loser in the end and that the loser would come out on top.
Because Blizz designed the alliance bike, so there is no license to lose.
Orange County Choppers designed the horde version, so there was a license that got pulled.
Didn’t the horde get theirs for free at the time? And 2016? I thought it was way older than that. Like 2012 or something. Then again 2016 was… already 8 years ago? Wtf!?
I think it is based on California contest laws? Though, hopefully they can bring it back somehow like with Tyrael’s Charger
I’m still surprised they didn’t just make it a horse bike
Yeah, it’s a legal issue. As it was the prize in a promotion, the Horde version was restricted to the duration of the event. Those of us who had Horde characters at the time got our free version.
But the Alliance version wasn’t the prize in a promotion, and is therefore not tied to the duration of the event, and can still be bought from the vendor.
This is what you call winning the war and losing the peace.
In other words it makes it voting in future events is pointless bc the Winner will be removed and loser will stay in the game if they even do a loser again which based on stuff im sure they would
There are some legal issues.

Q u o t e:
I’m still confused as to how the Horde “won”, when the bike is no longer available, whereas the Alliance one is. What’s the problem with making the Horde one avaliable again for 100k?
There are a few unfortunate legal obligations that have halted a release of the Horde’s Deathwheel, from what I understand. Something about .
Again, an unfortunate circumstance, but I’m not sure that anything can be done.
I’ll bring this up again next week and see if anything has changed since I last asked about this a few months back.
And that’s all we got since 2016.
I always thought the Alliance chopper was the better looking one. I don’t use either tbh.
I wonder if Blizz can ust slap a new coat of paint on the horde one and re-release it.
It comes down to contracts my guy I know a lot of players don’t understand the legalities behind something like this but this was a limited time event that had a TV show going. Not to mention the professionals involved that created the bikes. Contracts were signed with a lot of big people.
Adding the item in game that the folks behind the TV show made would violate these contracts get blizzard sued. When the contracts were made it was written into them that the losing bike would be available in game for gold indefinitely. However the winning bike would be available to all players for free.
So the only way to add a vendor in game with the horde version would be to renegotiate those contracts if they can be negotiated. Not all contracts can.
So Blizzard’s response to your request would most likely be we can’t or we will get sued
one thing blizz can do if they can is recolor the alliance bike
If you didn’t get it for free at the time it was available, ‘you’ didn’t win the competition. Others won it, then you came along.
Personally, I wasn’t really a big fan of the Alliance caterpillar nor the Horde lawnmower. When they announced the contest, I expected choppers; you know, motorcycles. Instead we got a weird snowmobile and a primal tractor.
Because the horde got it for free and alliance has to fork over 100k for their bike its fair.
The Alliance motorcycle is awful looking and has led to a huge surplus, hence being still available to purchase. There should be a price cut to clear the server memory for something better.
It is a shame Horde can no longer get theirs. I wonder why it’s still in the game if the license got pulled? I have mine but don’t really use it.
From what info is online looks like the contract between Blizzard and Paul Jr. Designs had it so Blizzard would only have to pay for the Bike that didn’t win (The Alliance Treadblade) which is currently at the Blizzard HQ campus and at events like Blizzcon. And Paul Jr. Designs would keep the winning bike (Warlord’s Deathwheel) which is displayed at events an bike shows that Paul Jr designs appear at, and licensed the bike for a one time in-game model
