We made our first stand tonight in this hopefully new era of Alliance wpvp. I concede victory to the Horde but we had some good shots and awesome battles!

Its was great how both sides had a good time and it was an honor for the Vale to fight with our new allies!

Keep it Lit ED!

Hopefully TAE would participate without the CRZ/LFG and keep it all ED but not sure how they roll.

I don't know about them, but we have no choice about being CRZed with you guys. Since I'm in a small guild, I'm going to continue to run with friends from whatever server they are from.

If you want a pure ED experience, get Blizzard to quit CRZing you guys with us and other servers.
Not taking a shot. There are just elements out there who uneccisarily bring 3 full raids and crash the server.

Ideally it would be great to field armies from just ED or even just the RPPvP realms but 120 players from everywhere makes sever identity nonexistent which is sad along with making wpvp engagements its unplayable.

Miss you all like crazy. Wife and I saw the twins engaged in Stormsong and came to help. Managed to push the Horde out only to have a much larger group overrun us.

Is always a pleasure when we get CRZ'd and see Huntress in world chat.

...

Been in the guild for over a year now, and NEVER have we DDoss or even discussed it, I don't know why people posts things without any proof.
Your guild goes out of it way to get numbers for wpvp it know the servers can not handly yeah does so anyone way and have state that the only fights your willing to do as your guild runs it be around equal numbers and also refuse number of 10v10 challenges fro horde side and in doing so you are set up ddos attacks on a server as you admin to crash it over small victorys or defeats

Did you have a stroke before writing this?

I dont see this being possible unfortunately. Honestly im not sure about the health of that guild on our precious server. It has been a lot less frequent that i have seen "ED only" TAE groups rolling around.

However. . .Im sure ED horde would be happy to abide an evenly matched wpvp engagement where we can all have a good time.

They usually are out hiding on another realm, i think? Possibly?
Go ahead and try, let us see where you end up. Maybe with Wpvpf and Pota?

Believe it we're trying!

Time is ripe to shake up the server! Complacent sheep need not apply. We need positive people willing to hunt Horde win or lose...and have fun doing it.

For the Alliance!

Possibly. The only case I know of (a) included one 40 man raid from an ED guild, (2) had plenty of people from other RP realms who are also native to our shards, and (3) didn't crash the server, they got ported out by a GM.

There was a case recently where there were mass disconnects due either to server crash or GM disconnects, but that was only a 40 man raid, again I believe from ED, that drew 100+ Horde defenders. At least the disconnects applied to both sides that time.

Ideally it would be great to field armies from just ED or even just the RPPvP realms but 120 players from everywhere makes sever identity nonexistent which is sad along with making wpvp engagements its unplayable.

If you prefer to organize a realm limited group, that's up to you of course. Just recognize that Battle for Azeroth shards don't belong to any single realm; Emerald Dream shares them with other servers. We and our guests have just as much of a right to be there as you do. For those who object, don't object to us, tell Blizz you want to get Emerald Dream off our shards.

Me, I want to defeat the Horde, and I don't care where my allies come from, as long as they are steadfast allies. If I have to open a void tear to bring them in, that's my prerogative.

I'm fine with CRZ as long as I can bring in friends from both RP and Normal realms. I'm not crazy about the ED culture that people write about, but the culture on the RP war mode shards I'm pretty happy with - granted, for some of the same reasons some ED people seem to be unhappy with it. I think It's good that the Ashen Vale is trying to rally the Alliance, but when the Alliance Empire raids into the troll lands, I'm happy with that too. If Horde are objecting, that's all the better!

If you want more contact with Huntress, catch me when I'm on line and I'll give you an invite to the Alliance Council community. I think most Huntress members are in it - I know the twins are - along with people from various other guilds.
I am just wondering why it is so wrong to want to battle alongside players you have fought next to for years, instead of people you will never see again.

We have differing opinions thats all. It's akin to someone who prefers to effect change globally while we would rather focus on our neighborhood. I don't knock how others choose to build their communities and i always welcome friends joining up with us to kick some Horde tail, but the whole point of this exercise is to rally all the old heroes of Emerald Dream and band together to face off against the current powers that be.

That being said, i know you guys are old friends with Nearo and the Kul Tiras Marines so it would be awesome to hook up and fight some Horde but our crew the Ashen Vale won't ever spam LFG just to get numbers. We have always been a small scale pvp crew and would rather fight alone than with strangers.

So, what is the “Alliance Council” all about?

(Edit: https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20768446719 - interesting. We’re working on the same concept right now. Worth a collaboration perhaps?)

BTW, I am not necessarily about “ED only”. The fact is that our population got split with the War Mode on/off so it makes sense to look elsewhere to bolster a shared value community. I also don’t believe in LFG because that just brings a faceless blob.

I do support getting to know the other RP-PvP guilds from places like Maelstrom and would support working with them/aggregating resources.
Hi Yarrow, say Hi to Silme and Sulime for me!

We'd love to fight alongside you all just like old times. War Mode sharding has had a detrimental effect on server identity, so we're trying to bring a little bit of that back. There is a silver lining in that some of us have inadvertently run into old friends we had not seen in a long time (we ran into Balanor recently as well as Bled), so that's something I can appreciate despite other problems like people randomly disappearing in the middle of RP interactions when you're not in the same group, etc.

This is just the beginning of a renewed spirit of organization for the Alliance and RP-PvP on Emerald Dream. I know that Huntress has always stayed true to the RP-PvP roots of our realms and I'd be thrilled to have you all at our side once again.

On question first: where the heck did you get that title? I don't think I've ever seen it in game. Does it go to multiple lines or does it spread across the width of the screen? Not that I don't like it, mind; it just looks like there's a story behind it.

BTW, I am not necessarily about “ED only”. The fact is that our population got split with the War Mode on/off so it makes sense to look elsewhere to bolster a shared value community. I also don’t believe in LFG because that just brings a faceless blob.

It might be tough to agree on shared values when group finder is integral to our approach.

Part of this is that we're in a different situation than ED is. We're a lower population server, with much smaller guilds, most of which are happy being small and don't actively recruit. However, that means we can't typically form substantial groups without going outside the guild and off the server. Huntress for example has to resort to group finder to fill out a 5 man, and Huntress is one of the larger guilds in Alliance Council.

The flip side of that is that group finder is an excellent way of finding people that one might want to play with again. At any given time, half the people on line in Alliance Council are people we found through group finder. We're not about to give that up.

Ultimately the point of Alliance Council is to facilitate small RPPVP guilds doing content that requires larger groups without the small guilds losing their individual identities. For Huntress, maybe that means finding a healer from the community to do 3v3. Maybe it means going beyond the community to group finder to find 5 people to do mythics - or to find 3-5 people to do Call to Arms during off hours, as I just did. At present, any activity that involves raiding - whether it's 10 people for rated battlegrounds or 40 people for a city defense - is definitely going to involve going to group finder and working with people from arbitrary realms.

From a small guild's point of view, that's just the nature of how the game works. And frankly, group finder and cross realms is a huge blessing to small guilds, because it means we can go beyond the limited population of a low population server, and beyond the insular population of larger realms like Emerald Dream who don't tend to like mixing that much, to the greater population of the game as a whole. That's what lets us do things that we couldn't do, or could only do with the greatest of difficulty, before.

For people who prefer to group only with others within their guilds or on their own realms, that's their right. However, we've found it more useful for our purposes to avoid discrimination based on realm or realm type.
