Alliance BIAS is insane

I want to preface this by saying I always play Ally it’s my preferred race simply for aesthetic. I don’t care if I’ll get a 1% increase in damage from x racial. This time around for SOD I was forced into horde, cool not a big deal. But the alliance bias is pretty crazy if you look at everything. Nearly all the runes require a ton of traveling into alliance dominated zones, small things like Grave Moss spawns for the New alchemy potion are all in alliance dominated zones. Alliance have the best farming spots for mats for new crafting recipes like fish oil etc… I’m just asking for the devs to go back and change some drop rates and take a second look at how much easier it is for alliance to do anything in Sod compared to horde.

Literally everything in the game favors alliance, and the lead dev plays a ret paladin so it’s not complicated to figure out why.

Looking at all the goodies paladins got… this explains a lot

Ah, back on Alliance again…can I expect a Horde bias thread sometime Tuesday, then?

I think the ratchet vendor rune farm did heavily favor Alliance.

I guess the shredder thing was meant to be a balance but the hardest part of that is the gold cost or the engineering aspect and not so much the location.

19 years of Horde coddling, got to cry when a low level cap happens to make a few herbs biased toward Alliance for a couple months, before it flips the total opposite with a 40 cap

I disagree… most of the horde bias begins in STV. They have a town in the dead center of the zone and also have access to booty bay.

Scarlet Monastery is in Tirisfal glades which is a protected horde zone. Alliance have to make a huge trek there

Feralas… horde town dead centre

Desolace? Horde town dead centre

Hinterlands? Horde have 20+ more quests

Quest rewards? All favour the horde. Warsong Boots, the hinterlands trinket… etc etc

Have you ever actually used Alliance flight paths, or transportation? Horde definitely have the advantage in mobility around the world, and ease-of-access to every single thing in the game except Blackrock Mountain.

I’d say the game heavily favors Horde to be honest.

  • Horde leveling is easier by a lot
  • Horde starting zones are better
  • The barrens is OP
  • Zeplins are way better than boats
  • Horde PVP racials are better
  • Horde PVE racials and abilities are better
  • Horde get an extra buff for PVE content
  • Shamans are just better than paladins in PVE and PVP and always have been
  • SM is literally in horde territory and you can do it without flagging as horde
  • Travel between horde cities is way easier and faster
  • Most level 60 zones are way easier to get to on Horde vs Alliance
  • Horde have a direct path to STV and a base camp in STV
  • Horde have a base camp in swamp of sorrows
  • Horde flight master and graveyard are way closer to BRD
  • Horde have 2 base camps in Ashenvale and one right by BFD
  • etc

There is already a thread for this on the main page still, but here’s my response to that one too:

Yall wanna complain about starting zones, like Wut? you realize in classic that alliance have to corpse run through a lvl 25 zone at lvl 13-15 to get more quests? Don’t even get me started on how our cities are designed like empty football stadiums and other than Ironforge, the other cities each have 1 anvil in the middle of nowhere and Darnassus doesn’t even have a mining trainer on the whole island.

The Main zones in this season are Ashenvale and the Barrens, and the highest level instances are BFD, SFK and RFC and you have major cities adjacent to all of these things. The Barrens is even a safe zone for y’all. I play a rogue in SoD, but I feel bad for all my homies that have to travel through ratchet just to get flashbanged by a group of horde and not be able to drop flag like the horde do when the going gets a little tough.

Almost forgot, horde even got better quest rewards, some of the belts they got from quests are exactly the same as alliance belts of their level, but then suddenly have +12 attack power slapped on like some kind of insane typo. They even have unique quests in BFD that give INSANELY powerful rewards that are BIS, while alliance quests get a Spirit ring, A leather Spirit belt and CLOTH boots with AGI AND INT.

You wanna talk about Alliance dominated zones, but everything except grave moss and some runes you have to get one time are kinda far. Nah get outta here

The seething Alliance cope while getting the ez mode bumpers put up for them the entire game.

Love to see it.

Horde leveling is easier. I’ve done both.

I play horde mainly.

Well the devs play Alliance and their favorite streamers play Alliance(devs cater to their favorite streamers pretty openly). It’s really not hard to see how lopsided things are in Alliance’s favor if people are actually being objectively honest about it all.

kinda cherry picking here.

Nothing is lopsided in Alliance favor.

The only issue is paladins in PVP because of avenger shield.

And paladins aren’t even that good in PVP. They just destroy low geared people because they have high burst and a 10 sec undispellable slow.

Without this slow they are average at best. They still do damage but people could kite them more effectively.

The top warrior and hunter parses from BFD are LITERALLY HORDE PARSES.

Why do you people think Alliance is better?

You are just coping.

This man said shamans are better than paladins xD.

1 shaman totems go to 1 group. need a shaman in every group and even then they dont get all buffs.

put 4 pallys in a 40 man and EVERYONE gets EVERY buff.

Then why are the top logs Horde?

Cope harder lil bro.

Until you can explain this, don’t comment. Logs show the real truth bro.

In reality they are very equal but Horde is slightly better even before Warchief’s Blessing

Have you even looked at the logs? :joy:

Alliance got the first 2 bfd clears and theres wayyyy more alliance in the top 100 than horde.

While it’s true a horde player is #1… it’s because it’s Ahlaundoh, the guy has an entire raid devoted to him parsing, he’s always #1 lol, wrath, tbc, vanilla, whatever.

LOL you talking about speed clears?

No one cares.

The top damage numbers are from Horde bro.

Also, the top 3 speed clears are horde as well.

I can help you navigate the log site if you want.

Here you go lil bro:

I wasn’t talking about speed running, but we can I guess.

No one cares? :joy: Speed running is the highest skill level raiding in classic.

And you think linking a top 50 list with 32 alliance guilds and 18 horde guilds somehow proves your point? lol

Theres also wayyyy more blue than red when sorted by damage, by a lot.

you can’t just point out a couple outliers at the top and ignore the fact the top 100 is dominated by blue, thats insane “lil bro” (so cringe)
