Just went up against an incendius premade, at least 20 of them all marshalls.
Incendius has been doing the premade thing for MONTHS. I’m sure it’s quite on and off though.
Honestly, I didn’t think they were still at it.
I don’t understand why Blizzard made the 5 man party change. I thought Blizzard said they didn’t want anyone doing premade AV. Instead, they made it easier for Alliance. Because of the queue times it is still impossible for Horde. But I distinctly remember when they did this , and Alliance actually complained about it and said they were boycotting AV, and the mostly did, hence our long queues. I don’t understand what their complaint actually was.
Yeah Blizzard tried to stop the ally AV premading. I hated the AV premade days.
I can’t complain about the 5 mans because my primary issue back then is that I couldn’t queue with my PVP friends. I think they were trying to accommodate small grouping in the BG.
The issue is when there are only a few AVs it is extremely easy for alliance to queue together. I don’t agree with it. I have however done some premade AVs (not Incendius) on my alliance character within the last month so I know how easy it is.
Oh I was in in an AV with you on my alt today Nightmage and you were doing that step up raid leading thing. You did a pretty good job.
Yeah, I have 2 friends that I always pvp with and it was really frustrating back when 5 mans weren’t allowed to queue. We had to queue for the same lobby and hope we all get in, which didn’t always happen. We almost never got into the same game all at the start, at least one of us was usually waiting for a slot to be backfilled. I do not want to go back to those days.
Imagine crying about AV as a horde player.
Cool, good for them.
Running big BG as a raid group is fun.
Oh no… Alliance might actually win a game whatever will we do.
… And??
They pop up once in a while. Get used to it. Doesn’t even matter anymore now with bgs being like 70 percent pugs as it is
Phase 6 is in three weeks you need to plan ahead rank 14. The only alliance i know who av are rankers, and people who need rep. It will be easier to go for naxx than rank 14 now. last i checked there were 3 av battlegrounds up.
All the horde in here complaining about alliance premades in AV. Lol how many of you are complaining about your 99% win rate in AV? None? Yeah seems legit. Totally not biased at all.
When alliance were able to do mass premades in AV the win rate was skewed in alliance favor, but even so many many many alliance premades still had around a 50% win rate. Only the elite, private premades that used every consumable available had anything that was close to what the horde have now. I’d prefer to have a fun challenging BG that I could win or lose at every queue than just losing 99% of every BG or winning 99%.
Alliance premades were the glory days of Classics AV.
Quick, to the forums!
I usually see 2-3 games up at a time, I guess I don’t find this very shocking that if an entire guild Q’d up they would have to be put in the same game. (Which gives you a faster Q btw)
There are so few alliance doing AV now because of the imbalances. This means that any large group of alliance can queue individually at the same time and a large amount will end up in the same BG.
About the only thing Blizzard can do to change this is to delay the opening of AV until there are several AV worth of alliance. This would mean much larger queues for horde, several times the current ones.
Or they can fix the imbalances between the factions…
Yep. Countdown queue. You can’t really complain about this one. The most AVs you see going anymore are like 10 max. Not too difficult to have multiple five mans queue at the same time and get in the same bg.
One advantage of having the smaller pvp faction is that it’s easier to get organized.
I think it was only the OP complaining followed by a bunch of ally players saying it’s fine.
I play both sides and I agree with a lot of the comments about map imbalance etc.
Oh Alasmin I see you in my game, looks like you guys are going to win. The horde think you are a premade. Benediction maybe.
I’ll probably play my ally the next few days in there instead of rep grinding on my horde, it looks like fun.
I don’t agree that the ally premade days were the glory days of Classic AV though. I competed with bots and had to be in an AV queue 24/7 to beat them, which I couldn’t due to my job. I could not queue with any of my world PVP friends either and was forced to group with often toxic cross server strangers. It was pretty terrible and was what I call the “dark days of PVP”. I also have ally friends who stated that at the time they hated being forced to follow instructions where they could not actually PVP at all, it was just about getting to the end and finishing fast. Once WSG became the meta everything became WAY more fun. Most of the PVP on both my horde and alliance since has been a lot of fun.
And usually more like four. You might get ten on an AV weekend, from what I’ve seen.
With four AV if you have 40 people queue at once you’ll, at worst, get about 10 in each. With a few scouts in ongoing AV you might be able to time it so you get 30+.
It’s the faction imbalances that allow this, as usual. Fix them or continue to have all sorts of issues like this.
Yeah you literally HAD to queue AV 24/7 if you were contesting bracket one.
Though I will say facing the mid tier premades on my horde mage was way more fun than current AV.
Snowballing WMs into them when they’d solo pull Drek was among the funniest thing I’ve seen in classic
