Alliance and BGs

Ive played this game for a long time, been through all the changes, adopted them etc, but one thing the last 5 years I just cant figure out is why Alliance are jus so bad and arrogant in BGs.

I have played this game mainly for pvp, im certainly not the best and will never claim to be, but when it comes to Bgs strats, team work etc, its like its a taboo subject.

My win/loss ratio is just terrible, the last 5 years seems to have just snowballed down, there was a time when it seemed to be a fair match, now its just dominated by horde, even in classic, ally just do the same thing every single game.

Fighting on roads, letting healers just sit back and cast freely, Fcs running past with no one on them while ours gets destroyed, not defending towers, flags etc

then when you comment about it you get attacked, being told your bad, your dmg, you cant pvp when the whole time im trying to get the fc, defend, call incs you know the strat of the game.

Am I missing something here? is there just now the thought ally are bad so lets just follow that? or people don’t care etc? what is it? as I just cant figure it out and is really pushing me away from pvp and im not a fan of pve.

Im really starting to question myself as to why I continue to play this after 14 years…

Happens on both sides

Are you a returning player? Coming back from a break?

If you are, and in case you missed it: Alliance is the “casual” faction now, most of the more serious players have re-rolled to Horde by now. Your negative experiences in bgs are just a trickle-down side effect of this trend.

Alliance has good aesthetics and RP’ing (if you are into that stuff), but that’s about it. I would never “main” Alliance, but I do maintain a few Alliance alts on the side.

generally no sense of logistics among other things like the fact that the allliences are the RP faction

Sigh

Said this a billion times before, yet here I go again…

1.) Four out of five of any random BG has a teenaged Horde premade: your counter to this is to form your own. Still, there is joy to be found in beating a guild that is on Discord together when pugging.

2.) If possible, do your BGs after 1230-0130 EST: it seems as if the faction roles swap until 0800-0830.

3.) Never try to random BG after school hours. Thats guild run primetime: you just feed their their egos (at your expense). Of course, CTA/AOO + other grouped WPVP is fine, as is ranked PVP.

I think it goes both ways, honestly. I just did five BGs in a row as horde and we got stomped. My goal of getting one win for the day has turned into a waste of two hours.

Is that your main character @Crïtcat? Your armory shows an average win rate across all BGs at 53.5% (minus brawls, Strand and Korrak’s), which seems pretty reasonable to me. Mazakala has exactly the same average win %.

It’s only the epics which are a major Ally fail . They do very well in the smaller ones. But epics … omg. I don’t know what happens there with Ally.

I play both sides and see absolutely no difference in random battlegrounds.

A good tell if a game is going to be a loss is if no one talks strategy at the start of the game, if everyone’s completely silent before the game starts than 9 times out of 10 it’s gonna be a loss.

My winrate is much higher as a merc on alliance than horde for reg bgs.
