I said nothin’ about them bein’ banished. Only that those who refused to heed the call of their King and Prince to return home lost any right to claim Quel’thalas for the Alliance.
Quel’thalas left the Alliance after the Second War. Anestarian had no interest in helpin’ the humans any further now that his lands were safe from the Orcs. Quel’thalas doesn’t “belong to the Alliance”, especially when it was originally part of the Alliance of LORDAERON. Not the Alliance of Stormwind.
Last I checked, the bulk of Lordaeron’s citizens are Forsaken and part of the Horde. Ergo, the Elves of Quel’thalas did return to be with their former allies.
The blood elves would still be sucking on magic right now if not for Velen and the Alliance. Also, it is more like the loser blood elves who have have given up any shread of pride they have to join the Horde tossed away their legacy.
For the last time, Alleria does not have any authority to ‘demand’ anything from Quel’thalas. She gave that up when she ran off with her human boy toy and disappeared for whatever amount of time (a couple decades? a thousand years for her? whatever timey wimey mess they’ve created). When she returned she nearly brought disaster down on Quel’thalas and she only came back to Quel’thalas as a message girl for the boy king, not because she wanted to return home. So as far as I’m concerned she can go drown her sorrows (preferably in a really deep lake) and cry on her husbands shoulder (oops can’t do that as he’s a light bulb and she’s a void elf) and just get over it and realize, its not her choice. Quel’thalas has rejected the Alliance again and chosen to be with the allies who actually helped them in their time of need. Even Garrosh and Sylvannas could not destroy their allegiance to the Horde. So…any Helves that want to come home better pack some red armor because Belves remain for the Horde!
Lor’themar didn’t have us tap into anything. Kael’s group did tap. And they went to Outland with him. The rest stayed in Silvermoon and fed off of mana wyrms.
Chronicles states it was the Alliance who canonically did the Sunwell, which by extension means we killed the void naaru(who’s name escapes me right now).
hah never… alleria missed the whole GARITHOS thing and has no choice or right to judge anything.
cry all you guys want, but you will never have our loyalty back
Not wanting back in with a faction they never really wanted to be with to start is not throwing pride away, because it was never there to begin with. Changing the name your people go by to honor the loss of the majority of your race that was exterminated is a high mark of honor and pride, at least in my book.
Until Chronicles is contradict it is canon lore the Alliance did Sunwell, and even if it wasn’t yhe case, Velen is still Alliance. Which mean it was still an Alliance member who cured the blood elves addiction.
Oh please, the blood elves joined the Horde to get help against the Scourge, and later Sylvanas hardballed Lothermar to send his forces to Northrend.
And even if you factor that in, you still have no claim. We’d rather still be addicted than have Silvermoon go to the Alliance. Your elves are happy with humans. Let them stay there.
Lor’themar has made it abundantly clear that he sees all High elves and blood elves as children of Quel’thalas, that being said I do not believe he’s going to require anyone to rename themselves in order to return home to Silvermoon.
If you’re a child of Quel’thalas, you’re allowed to return home. With the exception of Void elves that is.
Oh please, they needed help because they were on their last leg and the horde provided it without any real strings attached. What did the alliance do? They spied on them and treated them with suspicion and some bigotry. You can blame the night elves for the last two. When you want to make friends or rekindle a friendship/partnership those are examples of what you do not do.
As for the final point? Big whoop. That was an expansion after they joined and the rest of the horde was not exempt from going either.
