Alleria Is Such A Disappointment

Maybe Alleria should have stayed up top in Dornogal instead of trying to tell Anduin to stay up there. She was a failure at the end of Hallowfall and baggage in the Nerubian city.

Ah, but don’t you see?

Clearly her decision to dabble in void magic was TOTALLY WORTH IT! It was worth alienating her family, her friends, her very race, etc… She’s a beacon to all elves of a better path to walk. How not?

I mean, if she never embraced the void, how would she be faring in TWW?

(Disclaimer): She’d probably be faring fine, parked in Silvermoon and teasing Arator about the whoever twins alongside Turalyon, while someone infinitely more qualified to handle Xal’atath showed up. Maybe Locus-Walker. That’d have been cool.

She is pretty much just a lesser version of Sylvanas with Xal’atath being Arthas. But atleast Sylvanas had some witty lines

Don’t insult Sylvanas like that.

Unlike Alleria, Sylvanas was actually marginally successful against Arthas. Sylvanas caught him in a trap and would’ve killed him if Kel’thuzad hadn’t come out of nowhere. Sylvanas built up an entire nation with the express purpose of seeing Arthas destroyed.

Alleria’s being written as the opposite of Sylvanas. She’s the one falling into the traps, while Xal’atath is the one recruiting nations to do her bidding.

She would be killed by the legion long before. Have yall not listened to a thousand years of war?

Alleria’s always been the most brash and impulsive Windrunner sister. So in TWW she’s showing a lot of the same reckless obsession and mismanagement of guilt as back during Beyond the Dark Portal, when she kept hunting orcs and taking unnecessary risks half for revenge, and half hoping she’d end up killed as atonement for failing to prevent the burning of Quel’thalas.

Now she blames herself for Dalaran and Khadgar, so she’s resigned to potentially destroying herself to avenge both as long as it also means taking Xal’atath down with her.

Without Turalyon’s counsel to keep her grounded, her old habits are coming back, and this time it seems to be falling to Anduin to talk her down.

All her talk about making sacrifices and stuff and the thing she made sacrifices for isn’t even worth it.

Can we just move on from the Windrunners, please?

And thats room for her to grow both as a person and as a void user.

Likely, no. They have nothing nearly as marketable as the windrunners set up right now, other than Xal.

Either way its elf foot shots carrying this franchise’s marketing right now.

Indeed.

Azeroth screamed when it saw Alleria’s new hair do.

Calling it a hair style is an insult to the word “style”

I cannot figure out what the writing angle is with Alleria. The whole don’t be afraid to “embrace the darkness” falls flat when Alleria is fighting her sanity every second. Legion tried to paint her imprisonment in a bad light, but it makes perfect sense given how volatile the void is.

I’m not saying Alleria can’t have internal conflict, but the campaign has her in such denial. And I don’t think that is what the writers were going for.

The Story is Recycling… At Argus and the Opening Quests for the Void Elves , she already had this Situation…

Now the whole Race is a Huge question. I though they all are able to Master the Void… so many years Passed .

The Campaign started „I can‘t be around people …“ and ended „I have to Stay near my people“…

She didn‘t Even scratch Xal‘athath except 1 Hit

Alleria Consumed the Essence of a Dark Naaru … I Like her … and Hope for Sommething better …

Pretty sure she will get the opposite ending. Sure unlike Sylvanas she fails to get minor wins, but unlike Sylvanas and what happened with Arthas she will be the one to bring down Xal.

So yeah, Alleria stumbles, who doesnt? And more important she even acknowledges it during the next portion of the campaign and apologizes and actually grows from it. Imagine character growth in WoW. Who would have thought we needed those?

Xalatath is some kind of unbound void-entity. We don’t even know what we’re dealing with here, but it’s the kind of thing that can evaporate if you take your eyes off it for even a single second.

We can cut Alleria a little slack for Dalaran.

Also,It seems some here are just putting the rest of the ren’dorei on Alleria’s boat, when her arc seems to be extremely personal and not related to the ren’dorei.

Alleria’s issue right now is not lacking power, but lacking balance.

Except, she’s the only one who hears the Void’s whispers, so you need her to track down and hunt the Harbinger of the VOID.

As for Alleria behaving stupidly, what game have you been playing? Heroes in WoW ALWAYS behave stupidly.

Blizzard doesn’t know how to write smart villains, they know how to write stupid heroes whose stupidity then artificially inflates the villain’s track record and makes them look smarter than they actually are.

Alleria should’ve listened to that Prime Naaru and not messed with the Void. #Xe’rawasright.

If Alleria hadn’t drank the purple kool aid, Xal’atath wouldn’t have been able to get in her head like that.

She didn’t drink the purple kool aid.

The purple kool aid invaded her, she just learned how to use it. And she had to otherwise the legion would have killed her and Turalyon.

Her understanding of the void is also what allowed the blood elves to survive the event that led them to become the ren’dorei.

Alleria is just doing the best she can with what she has been given.

While those Blood Elves wouldn’t have been in that position to need help if they weren’t messing with the purple kool aid, you have a point about Alleria.
