Old gods and their various flesh horrors underlings were always just the emissaries of the void. The void was never physical (which is why they sent physical things to do their dirty work)

Bellular had an interesting take on the Void Lords vs. The Old Gods.

The Old Gods were strictly creatures of the void, but became something else through Azeroth’s influence. Hence the beef between The Old Gods and Xal’atath.

The Old Gods are way more “fleshy” and “dark” than they are “voidy”.

The void used to be all about whispers in the dark, forbidden knowledge, and the decent into madness…now it’s just bluish purple blobs

You can’t fight whispers, knowledge and madness. Those are immaterial and don’t look like anything. Enemies need to look like something.

On the bright side, now you get to see the people who were whispering all along :smiley:

the old gods are what you described

they are all dead now and the next step up is void lord abominations from the cosmic plane

the void lords have always been blobs of shadow, the old gods are bioweapons created by the void lords to corrupt worlds sense they cant enter our reality without something on our side to summon them in. so thats why they sent the flesh balls.

Does this mean Warlocks get new skins for their VW? I’d definitely get that Void Walker next to the Void jelly fish!

No. TWW added a bunch of Voidwalkers and we didn’t get any.

There’s a bunch of Demons that Warlocks could get like the Argus Shivarra, but Blizzard doesn’t like to give Warlocks things.

Unlike Hunters who get 210123798137093 new pets every patch lol
