Every expansion about faction war it’s always centered around the Horde and it’s characters and the Alliance always seen as the “good guys” in the public eye, ya’ll had your chance with Jaina but nah we had to go back to Jaina x Thrall bullcrap again.
We need another character that’ll have the same effect as Arthas and Illidan on the Alliance side and major side characters like Garithos and Kael’thas to make the story interesting. Now all you guys want to do is make role model characters to cater to a certain audience instead of creating an interesting story.
I used to like Thrall but you guys taught me to hate him with your writing, I was already relieved that he had finally retired and hoped he’d die of old age as a peaceful orc fathering his family somewhere in orc land and make room for new characters. But somehow you just had to bring him back… I’m so sick of seeing this guy as if hes the only orc who can be “bad a$$” and get away with everything. At this point i’d rather we get Med’an instead of this overused lame %#! peon again.

Yup, I’d love to land a blow on the horde for once, even if it means being the bad guy.
After all the horde has done we could blow up 3 of their cities and genocide a race for it to be somewhat equal. (Not asking for this to happen just saying that the alliance striking back for once would be more than justified)

Every time they try to make the alliance the bad guy, your playerbase has a meltdown about it (see dalaran massacre and vulpera purge squads) and blizzard changes it.
Blizzard isnt the only one to blame for it =/
Trust me i want some edge to the alliance too, give me a reason to take their story seriously for once. Give me a tyrande murder spree, make the dark irons still be slave owners, have a civil war, do something other than what Anduin says!..

There is nothing more boring than a Mary Sue trope.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and Tyrande will kill Thrall.

So your post was a mere thinly veiled attack on Thrall, and not a lament at the Alliance’s recent boring story?
Ok.

Arthas and Illidan boring stories? LOL
I bet you’re the type to call Twilight a 10/10 masterpiece.

Thrall has had one of the more interesting character arcs since his starring role in cata. At this point he is basically a shell of his former self. How is that a mary sue?
Anyway, since we are “breaking the cycle” this time around we can probably stop arguing about who is good and who is bad since we will probably be getting a proper bad side to oppose us.

If by horde content being:
- horde leaders being killed or worse, turned into villain
- horde kill each other
- horde raid/attack their own city
Then I don’t want it. Let the alliance do one of those things for a change.
Oh, as for alliance being the “bad guys” or do “atrocities”, remember the purge squad in voldun? Remember when it was in as early as PTR? Remember the meltdown/outrage of alliance players in this forum? I do.

Arthas and Illidan were never Alliance, though.

Yes, good lord, we have a prime opportunity with Tyrande and possibly even malfurion, dont screw it over like you did with turning Genn into Anduin’s happy grandpa and turning Jaina into Thrall’s side girl

Why don’t you go tell Anduin that.

Neither of which are alliance.
Arthas was the villain of wow for a good chunk of time. And as many will tell you Lorederon alliance = / = the current alliance. Arthas was never an allianc hero and always a villain.
Literally the same for illidan, he was never involved with either faction until legion where he was Nuetral. He was always a “lone wolf” or villain archetype.
So idk why you think either of them constitute good alliance story…

the Alliance from Lordaeron is still the same Alliance right now, Arthas was the Prince of Lordaeron so i’ll let you do the thinking for that one.
Illidan is a NE i’m sure despite everything if given the chance or a different path he is and definitely Alliance.
lol all these people in here nitpicking bs just to disagree with OP instead of trying to see his standpoint im seriously curious how you people live with yourselves with that way of thinking
i definitely wouldn’t mind if we could get an expansion with the alliance having a falling out for once or twice even if that means introducing new characters idc just make the story better ffs

I did recognize his point, see my first post. I was merely correcting him on his definition if “alliance heros”
