You do realize all this in-fighting is what certain folks want, because if we’re too busy fighting each other, we cannot join forces and fight what really matters…the empire that keeps us down.

I’m just saying that it’s pretty blatantly obvious that the in-fighting is what higher-ups want. It’s sad that people let themselves get so riled up over basically a non-issue.

They’re the one’s screaming over video games, I’m merely saying that it’s kind of dumb that these people are letting themselves get riled up when the real culprits are the one’s who created this narrative to begin with.

If you actually look at both of our posts next to each other, you come off as far more emotional about it than me for a reason.
They don’t make me angry-- but I’ll be damned if I don’t offer pushback when other people bring that nonsense up and I’m forced to acknowledge their existence.
You are doing the exact same thing. You’re engaging with something you apparently disagree with and “find tiring” and injecting your opinion into things as well. I’m not sure why it’s a distanced observation in your case but in mine it’s “screaming at each other and being tiring” but I don’t really care what anyone on WoW forums thinks of me, my actions, or my words anyways tbh.
If anything you contribute more than I do when I respond by making dumb threads like this that only encourage even further discussion about it.
And other’s don’t have to read threads either whether is it against or for…why does it only apply to me?
You make it sound like they’re creating hitsquads if you don’t gripe at them. It’s like trying to reason with those crazy people screaming about the end of the world on the street.
Ignoring those kinds of people and letting them rot in their own little world is punishment enough for them, while they may not feel guilt, the act of ignoring them belittles them.
Maybe laugh at them sure, that works too…but this arguing on both sides bleeds into the game when some are trying to relax and enjoy themselves.

It’s worse when it seeps into the game when I’m trying to just enjoy my time. I don’t play WoW just to be reminded that real life exists; I play to get away for a short time.
This arguing could be about ANYTHING really, Moon Guard has some weird kind of thing going on about politics and I’m just sitting there wondering why they’re willing to spend 15 bucks a month to scream political hotpoints to one another when they could do it on Reddit for basically free.
Ignoring the problem doesn’t make it go away. Neither does responding to them. We’re ultimately all just wasting time on a pointless video game forum, and I’m not going to let someone else tell me what to say or who I should respond to or not respond to when “”“they”"" (aka bigots, homophobes, whatever works) keep posting threads that get hundreds or thousands of comments.
I’m tired of seeing it too, it’s everywhere, and honestly all of those threads should just be deleted rather than letting these pointless arguments continue, but you’re being extremely unsympathetic if you think there’s an even CLOSE to equal amount of blame to be shared for why the arguments keep happening.
There are enough people on these forums who hold awful beliefs who will keep bumping their own threads and liking each other’s comments that it doesn’t matter if anyone disengages-- we’ll still have to see that nonsense anyways, so might as well gripe about it.
Not like it matters anyways, anyone who tries to advocate for or make an effort to “clean up GD” is on a fool’s errand. It’s not gonna stop anytime soon.
It’s like how people put the onus of Moon Guard’s Quarantine Zone on the players; we can only report so many people, one gets reported and three more show up.
If we took the time to continuously report those people in The Quarantine Zone then we wouldn’t have time to enjoy the game, would just be reporting 24/7.
