All these [spoiler] bits have me wondering

If it’s time to just walk away. I know Blizzard hates Dalaran portals but to go so far as they’re going from all these spoiler bits I’ve seen on the forums… I might be done with retail.

There’s a stewardship of this universe I expect from this game team but they do not carry the level of responsibility and care I think they should.

Demons sometimes come and destroy your real estate.

You’re mad they destroyed a place that had portals? Imo this is the very least most miniscule issue I have with the game atm.

I reckon you should listen to your heart.

Sometimes a month or two away is best to determine if you like it or not.

Would be an intense game if the city actually got changed from all expacs. Who cares about this dalaran, the others are still there.

Sis Dalaran gets destroyed and rebuilt like every 5 seconds

Isn’t it just the one portal now? Well one to SW and one to Org?

You do realize Legion Dal will still exist right? Like you can still go there, right?

Do you also realize Dalaran isn’t canonically in Crystalsong Forest, but it’s still accessible in game so as to not break Northrend questing?

Like nothing actually changes gameplay wise, it’s just storywise Dalaran crashes into the shore of the Isle of Dorn

It’s also the second time Dalaran’s been destroyed in Warcraft.

I see…

I think my example doesn’t quite land with others, and that’s okay.

It’s not about the portals - that was a little cheeky jab on my part as the magical city of Dalaran was already reduced to 1 portal

It’s about what happens to these characters, to the world, etc. Maybe I’m overly invested in the world and my love for it. Given what has happened since Legion and then to BfA and Shadowlands I’m just less inclined for more of the same. Starting out with nuking a city follows a pattern I think I’ve seen before so…

Dalaran as a functional city will remain, just like Undercity and Darnassus have, after the faux tension of a non-impactful cutscene things will go right back to normal. Nothing to fret about.

So you would prefer that nothing ever changes and all NPCs live forever? At least to me, that sounds rather boring.

Sigh I miss the 80’s

I would recommend you hold judgement for the the entry-level scenario that explains everything. It appears to me that this stage of information is meant to get you asking questions and overall not knowing what to do with your feelings about the matter.

I’m pretty sure that the portal rooms of Stormwind and Orgrimmar have more portals options than any version of Dalaran. And it Will keep increasing.

Why does anyone think that old content stuff will be affected even slightly. Dalaran already exists in 2 separate places. Now it will just exist in a third, more scattered place.

Honestly people should be more concerned about where Portal: Dalaran Crater is going to take them because now there’s gonna be 2 possible destinations for that one ability.

Wait, seeing Dalaran destroyed AGAIN is making you want to quit? The fragility of man…

Honestly…It’s been a long time since we have had real “repercussions” for our actions. There never is a sense of danger anymore. Bad guys have been going good for too long, and no real threat since legion TBH.

so if [redacted] has to take one for the team, then so be it.

Who do you think made the dalaran portals?

The old portal rooms were powered down a long, long time ago.

Statute of Limitations has expired on being upset about it.
