If it’s time to just walk away. I know Blizzard hates Dalaran portals but to go so far as they’re going from all these spoiler bits I’ve seen on the forums… I might be done with retail.
There’s a stewardship of this universe I expect from this game team but they do not carry the level of responsibility and care I think they should.
I think my example doesn’t quite land with others, and that’s okay.
It’s not about the portals - that was a little cheeky jab on my part as the magical city of Dalaran was already reduced to 1 portal
It’s about what happens to these characters, to the world, etc. Maybe I’m overly invested in the world and my love for it. Given what has happened since Legion and then to BfA and Shadowlands I’m just less inclined for more of the same. Starting out with nuking a city follows a pattern I think I’ve seen before so…
Dalaran as a functional city will remain, just like Undercity and Darnassus have, after the faux tension of a non-impactful cutscene things will go right back to normal. Nothing to fret about.
I would recommend you hold judgement for the the entry-level scenario that explains everything. It appears to me that this stage of information is meant to get you asking questions and overall not knowing what to do with your feelings about the matter.
Why does anyone think that old content stuff will be affected even slightly. Dalaran already exists in 2 separate places. Now it will just exist in a third, more scattered place.
Honestly people should be more concerned about where Portal: Dalaran Crater is going to take them because now there’s gonna be 2 possible destinations for that one ability.
Honestly…It’s been a long time since we have had real “repercussions” for our actions. There never is a sense of danger anymore. Bad guys have been going good for too long, and no real threat since legion TBH.
so if [redacted] has to take one for the team, then so be it.
