People know better- this is a 15 year old game, everyone knows Horde are kings of pvp, so nobody with sense is going to roll alliance on a pvp server.
I’m pretty sure on pve servers the Alliance is going to be dominant, cuz the Alliance have good pve racials, priest abilities and pallies.
But horde have better pvp racials, UD priests have the best spriest racials for pvp, and shammies are one of the best pvp classes in the game.
Of course pvp realms with be Horde dominated- hey, the world is vital, that means you basically have free reign over everything in the world, like devilsaurs, thorium nodes, chests, black lotus, etc… The only thing the Alliance can do on a pvp server is raid/dungeon (which ironically means you’ll see even less of them).
Frankly, I think the first time any Alliance reaches SM, knowing it’s the best xp from 30-40, and just sees that wall of Horde standing outside not flagged since even on a pvp server it’s a safe zone- only to have twenty horde flag and start aoe’ing them, and then fear spam them every time they exit to reset as the Horde is just sitting outside every portal waiting for kills- they knew a pvp server was no place for an alliance.
That said- some alliance will tough it out, after all- instant BG queues. Here’s hoping they keep queues server only, so Horde gets stuck with 10 hour queues to make up for dominating the world.
We already have, and we’ve already laid claim to SM and killed Horde as well. It’s not as one sided as some people make it out to be, especially since the masses joining Horde don’t necessarily make them better at PvP.
I rolled Alliance, turns out they don’t want to PvP unless attacked first. I’ve even been snubbed at for being aggressive against horde.
Someone calls out horde ganking in an area, and the alliance have this; “not attacking me, not my problem” attitude.
I ditched my 30 lock on Alliance and re rolled horde.
Now when it gets called out that Alliance are ganking, many horde actively join to defend.
Tried to roll Alliance this time too since I never levelled very far on Alliance back in the day. Wetlands and Redridge made me want to /wrist with their stupid quests ranging from Lv12-30.
You get some of this Horde side too where you run out of quests in Silverpine so you hop over to the Barrens but it isn’t as bad IMHO.
I tried to experience Real Vanilla™ … early twenties I said screw it. To the UD starting area to relive 2004 - at least I’m more familiar with where everything is.
Thats makes sense for normal servers to be Ali heavy, even on PvP servers alliance doesn’t want to PvP. You can have 2 horde attacking you and 5 Ali will just run right by
