I really would like to see every race able to be every class.
I would not.
WoW is an RPG, and part of RPGs is racial identity. Certain races not being able to be specific classes says something about that race’s culture.
Tired of RPG elements being removed.
Even if they did, they would need to make unique models for every class out there. Paladins need racial Normal, Epic, and Divine Steed mounts; Shamans need racial totems; Druids need at least a racial Bear, Cat, and Flight forms. Dracthyr Monk needs a certain rigging change to do Rising Sun Kick, Flying Serpent Kick, and Whirling Dragon Punch. Demon Hunters can be expanded to Void Elf at the very least, Nightborne would need a model update as they can’t do more than half the animations required.
Definitely needed another one on this subject. I’m certain the idea isn’t on their radar at all.
Why not one race and one class for everyone. That way that one class can be balanced. As long as smart intelligent players don’t over played their class. In which it would be unfair for non smart players.
Good news, they already announced that this will be happening over an undetermined amount of time a while ago.
No now quit asking.
They are working on it.
Why not just release the new race/class combos first and then deal with these unimportant cosmetic issues later?
This way people can play the race that they prefer sooner rather than later.
If taurens can be every class, the same should exist for every race.
As much as I would not like to see this…I REALLY want an Orc Paladin.
No, then it stops being World of Warcraft.
We already have way too much “choice” for many classes.
I’d like to see Gnome Paladins, though. They’ve been living with the Dwarves for 20 years intermingling their cultures.
Every time someone asks for this they push it back another month.
And a larger part of RPGs is the freedom to tell your own story.
If the story I want to tell is of a Forsaken Paladin who refuses to let undeath strip them of their humanity, that’s a story I should be allowed to tell.
Exactly, I agree 100%
we’ve been over this countless times, they cant just flip a switch and suddenly every race has every class. they need to make animations and class assets such as paladin chargers and shaman totems. its coming, it just takes time.
Except, that’s not the case with WoW. In many cases, where a class’s generic identity does not apply to a specific race, we see that race able to play that class anyways. This is made possible, because lorewise, that class has a unique adaptation to that specific race.
For example, Tauren Paladins. Lorewise, they’re not Paladins, but Sunwalkers. They do not believe in the Light, but see the Sun as an aspect of the Earth Mother, whom they worship.
There are also Orc Priests to consider. They don’t wield the Light, either, but the power of Spirit.
Kul Tiran Druids are not members of the Cenarion Circle, nor do they practice typical Druidism, but instead draw on Death Magic’s variant.
When you get down to it, unlocking all classes for all races only EXPANDS on racial lore, deepening it, and giving races even MORE of an identity than they currently have.
The casting animations for a race really don’t vary much based on class - an undead mage has the same casting animations as an undead warlock.
I’ve already addressed this earlier in the thread:
No. An undead Druid make zero sense. There’s already too much homogeneity in the game.

Not muted.
