And fanbois keep preaching “just reroll”

How could Blizzard not see this coming?

It’s a marketing strategy.

its not that they didnt see this coming, its that they know that in about two weeks, 3/4 of these people are gonna be gone, and the servers still need to have healthy populations when the tourists leave.

And a bunch of people already did re-roll so you may have a character stuck on a server with a long queue + dispersed friends on multiple other servers already.

I wasn’t going to play long-term anyway, but the server drama really killed it for me early. I’m just waiting for the next Path of Exile patch a week from now to play with the new summoner changes.

TBC servers next year might be fun, the class design was better anyway.

Imagine how it will be this weekend when all the people who couldn’t work during the week try to play.

Also, labor day.

This is so discouraging. I’ve been wanting to play vanilla/classic for years. All but one of my friends is on Herod and with my schedule i can’t get on unless i stay up in the wee hours of the morning. The only answers i’ve gotten is reroll or wait in queue. When I DO manage to get in, i’ve been dc’d and whatever queue protection system they have has been an utter failure for me. This weekend is gonna be terrible

75% drop after 2 weeks? Thats laughable.

currently: 14 full servers, 11 high servers, and only 5 medium. What do they expect us to do?

And those numbers are with expanded realms too.

Soon we are just gonna have account based characters that we can just log onto any server with. #nochanges

high pop means it’s populated but doesn’t have a queue… isn’t that what people want?

Nah that’s not actually how it works, it’s confusing and counter-intuitive labeling but even a medium server can still have a queue.

They changed this recently. Now only full servers have a queue

so only 90% of servers instead of 100% of servers have a Queue? Sweet…

Well they are doing a great job, already marketed two of my friends from playing.

It’s creating artificial scarcity and driving up demand. I’m sure a lot of people will be mad and I’m sure blizzard knew it when they decided to only make 8 servers for one of the most popular MMOs of all time with a global demand. It’s either that or they want people get mad and quit so they can say see you really didn’t want classic. The only other reason that seems possible to me is incompetence.
