I actually think the solution to the whole problem would be to leave the ability to turn fated on and off in the raids, and make the achievement not be seasonal. It’s not a AOTC or Cutting edge, it’s basically a Glory Achievement for just boss kills.

The entire playerbase isnt toxic. Personally i find the expectation that you deserve rewards despite putting 0 efforts into gear, covenant, talents, legendaries, spec, etc because you know youre guaranteed to complete the content no matter what to be more toxic. Might as well go play a game that has you buying lootboxes for progression.

No one looks down on people for playing the content they prefer, they get annoyed when those people whine and moan that they deserve the same things people who actually put effort into their characters

All of the people furious at the cat not being in LFR keep saying “it doesn’t hurt anyone!” But youre wrong. It’s not inconsequential, it devalues the effort that other people put in. It’s not hard to grasp, not everything is about you. If you want something, go get it. Stop sticking your hand out and expecting it because you pay a sub. There are other people that play the game besides you. Go do LFR if you want, no one wants to stop you. Stop expecting to get the same stuff though, it’s ridiculous.

im legally blind and still doing raids. been a raider for a long time but i get that im not the standard.

What about people whose schedule keeps them from being able to commit to a scheduled raid, who can’t sit at a keyboard for 3 hour stretches, but can weave in an hour for a wing here and there.

A lot of people like to chalk LFR up to ‘laziness’, but there are a lot of mitigating factors.

Also, normal could be the easiest mode on the planet but it’s still not as consistent as looking for raid. It fosters grouping. Instead of making excuses and telling yourself “i cant do this for xyz” actually try to do it. Once again normal is extremely easy this tier. Once you get a nice group its easy to stay and play.

Mostly what’s holding LFR players back is their fear of failure. They want to protect their ego so they don’t even try.

lol…i wasnt going to go there, but…lmao…yeah.
guessing that mythic raiders see normal as lazy as normals want to claim LFR is. lol.

bigger issue is normals are run by people who raid. LFR is a lot of hacks who stand in the fire and ignore mechanics and cause wipes.
Realistically normal is much easier because its going to have better players NOT causing 3 wipes lol.

I think the idea is that its not as hard because its not like herding cats that are blitzed out on catnip. The thought is at least there is a drop of focus in “normal”. Thats what Ive been seeing anyhow. Probably many examples of your take too though.

Doing LFR is earning it. You sit in queue, you do the fights, you kill the bosses. 30 of them. It isn’t as if the mount would just be mailed to everyone. I could easily make the argument that doing Normal isn’t earning it, and there is no precedent set for normal raiders to be earning seasonal mounts, so.
