This is the part that is baffling to me with regard to Blizzard failing to anticipate all of this, and then appearing to approve of it. It’s not that I have high expectations of Blizzard, but it’s remarkably out of step with the charm show they’ve been putting on for a while now.

Yes it is. Mythic is teleport, heroic is title, and then LFR would have been the mount, leaving nothing else for normal raiders to aim towards.

the majority of the playerbase is casuals. they keep the servers up with all the money they spend. they deserve goods just as much as the minority elitist snobs like you

This is exactly why LFR was created. People complained they couldnt see the story without “real” raiding… Blizz gave it to them.

It was created because raid attendance was in the single digits all the way through wrath. Literally only a few percentage points of players were seeing the raids.

The biggest complainers have already decided in other threads that normal will get a cosmetic remornia transmog.

Yeah I’ve been in that thread, it was even in response to me I believe the first time it was mentioned. But given that the transmog doesn’t exist right now, I believe normal is a better fit for the mount. If it did, I’d welcome that change.

I think there are several reasons why it’s good for the mount to not be in LFR, however…
I do agree that this was a communication mistake, and a very stupid one (I’d expect at least someone to be fired over this), and it’s been handled poorly.
I also think a lot of the uproar isn’t coming from actual “casual players” that feel they’ve been wronged, but also from people who just wants to bash on Blizzard for other previous reasons, and they’re taking their chance (many are clearly posting from low level alts).

Incorrect.
LFR is raiding. It may be a braindead version of raiding, but for some of us the convenience of it more important than the challenge.
We deserve unique and interesting rewards every once in a while.
Slime cat being in LFR hurts no one. There is literally not a single detriment to adding it to LFR and letting a sizeable subset of players earn a cool reward for killing 30 bosses.

1000% accurate synopsis of the problem. I’m hoping that the heat will stay up for a while, and Blizz eventually caves and adds it back to LFR.
Then we can all find something else to be victimized over.

If having it LFR means no distinct reward to normal, then yeah there’s a detriment. Normal gets the shaft ever more than LFR in that case. Not only do they have to work harder for no additional reward, but everything they do acquire is overwhelmingly undergeared by even the easiest of m+.
Do you know how if you use cheats in star craft 2 you don’t get the achievements?
