All of Blizzard is Pay To Win

Hardcore is literally the only iteration where people wont be able to dump USD for Gold.

Bloodsail is the only server without rampant gold buying to-date. Official will succumb to gold buying unless the Soul of Iron rumor is true, the rumor that says Soul of Iron will be an opt-in way to track trading.

If you’re talking about the new HC server coming, I’d be willing to bet money that you’re wrong.

Trading is available on Official HC servers, there will be botting and there will be gold buying

Over time ive vome to realise that sadly, this is what both the players and Blizzard want.

Yup. Time to unsub, and stop buying their titles. They havent released a good game since OW. (2016)

DF is the first decent expac since Legion (also 2016) and WOTLK/MoP before that. It’s been a steady downhill dive since Bobby Kotick took over.

Oh my sweet summer child. Imagine thinking that hardcore won’t be infested with bots, boosters, and gold sellers within days of launch.

I’d bet that you already have (or will soon after launch) subscribe to restedXP. Imagine thinking hardcore isn’t P2W.

I have some faith that the HC community will be less tolerant of shenanigans.

the game ends at 60 in hc so…who cares about this?

I personally plan on waiting until 3 weeks after HC server launch and then paying $50 for basically everything in the azamous video.

“HC Hype! HC Hype!”

Blizzard yes, sure, but most players don’t buy gold. Taking a sample of my guild mates from progression server (now wrath) only 3 of them purchased / purchase gold.

I suspect given the diversity and semi-casual nature of my friends that they are a safe average of the player base. Guild has 93 active players, and 3 admitted buyers.

That is under 5%, so hardly a “players want to buy”, and more a couple of whales want to buy.

HC rose to popularity with no trading. We tried trading and it didn’t work with HC. Now they’re changing the rules that made it popular.

Blizzard could be making a mistake with that change… It very well may be the ship sailed on HC and the effort was for nothing…

Time will tell.

True but it’s frustrating when time proves you correct and you needed to “suffer” during that period knowing you are right. I do think something as simple of Soul of Iron being modified to track trading could solve this problem.

Also I think this post by Kastigator articulates it well:

there is no “winning” in life, there is just living
