All my quests, my quest progress and phasing is gone

So, I was in the undermine and it abandoned all my quests, caused me to lose all my titles and even access to the non blighted undercity . It now wants me to do all these quests all over again and it’s cleared all my progress in undermine.

I just experienced this as well. For context, it happened when I was riding the G-99, toggled Start Job, and then disabled it again a few seconds later. Every quest in my log was removed, including “hidden” ones like assault trackers, plus a handful of titles associated with quest progress (Archdruid, Guardian of G’hanir, Trashmaster, Champion of the Dragonflights, among others).

In addition:

  • All campaign progress has been reset (presumably both TWW and earlier expansions)/
  • Daily/weekly quest progress was reset (I can select a new cartel, for example, despite having already chosen one).
  • One-time treasures I previously interacted with can now be interacted with again.

Relogging didn’t resolve the issue.

I have not experienced this myself but there has been many people mentioning that the remote if used to dismiss jobs wipes their entire wow quest progress for all expansions.

I just had the same thing happen to me. Quest log & progress reset/wipe.

I am able to interact with one-time treasures (knowledge points, etc.)
I lost all TWW campaign progress
I lost legion class hall titles
I lost “hidden” quests such as “level 35”
I lost the ability to use my Tarecgosa’s Visage mount
I lost my installed modules on REAVES engineering item from Legion
This is NOT an exhaustive list.

It happened immediately after “dropping a job” while using the new D.R.I.V.E. system

The game still shows these quests as warband completed but my character shows them as incomplete.

Can confirm the exact same thing happened to me, same with losing my Legion class hall title. This seems really bad tbh and is also likely able to be exploited with knowledge point treasures now that I think about it. The strange thing I noticed though is all the quests I completed seem to be marked as warbound complete, which means the game still knows these quests were completed at some point. The amount of progress lost is so comprehensive I’m really doubting Blizzard will be able to fix it all.

Earlier this evening, we detected a very rare bug that could cause the effects described above, and we deployed a hotfix to address it.

To be clear-- the hotfix for the bug that could cause players to experience an unexpected loss of quest history is now live.

We may have to prevent players who were affected from logging in while we investigate their accounts.

Thank you very much for your patience.

 We’ve had 6 months of constant data loss and databases run by goobers. The first major patch comes and it’s more of the same. More new bugs where your :poop: gets deleted!

Has there ever been a period during the last 20 years where the development side has been in such utter shambles? And Holly and Ion want to push more paid DLC packs out faster!

Gotta add at least they’re making progress. They detected the bug and said something immediately instead of hiding under a rock for 5 weeks formulating a lying deflecting response. Time will tell if they actually fixed this data loss bug or any of the others they introduced 6 months ago.

don’t trust anything said here, this is the same one that posted that the PlunderStorm loot mail bug had been fixed then ignored the the forums when it hadn’t been fixed, and still hasn’t.

They’ll do the same thing to these people that they did to the guild bank loss victims. They’ll restore next to nothing, downplay the massive inexcusable losses, engage in sweeping it under the rug by deleting any posts talking about it, and then proceed to take 0 accountability and do nothing to prevent even more massive data loss in the future when another D-tier programmer does it again.
