All mounts should be instant cast or Perhaps a Legendary mount that allows for this?

In footsteps of the druid shape-shift form and flying, I think all mounts should be instant cast. I think it will make quality of life much better, and things would just be more enjoyable.

Or even perhaps having an extensive quest line /farm to allows for this ability, labeled, “Legendary Mount”.

Yes I agree, that would rock

Agreed, i can’t see it happening though, Blizzard isn’t exactly the champion of QOL these days lol

It feels better when they’re instant cast, that’s for sure.

But, I don’t think it fits for every mount type.

Instant casting a giant mammoth mount feels wrong, but instant casting a broom makes more sense because it feels like an actual spell you’re casting.

I still think the mount system needs to be overhauled and mounts should be split into types, with different types having different abilities. One type of mounts could be an instant cast type like the brooms or some birds, while mammoth (larger type) mounts would be slower to cast, but make you harder to dismount or put a small bubble on you as you travel.

id like to see the day when I can dismount my horse and have it walk beside me and I could also feed it from time to time. Would love this for the pack mule especially. always wanted to wander around with a staff equipped and my hood up in the the backwoods of druskvar somewhere. it would also be nice if certain mounts like pack mule could walk by your side and also carry a 1 bag slot worth of stuff also.

That reminds me of the beetles in UO. A mount and a tank and it’s extra bag space.

Have you ever played a game called Red Dead 2? Even if you’re not into that type of game, you can seriously just spend a couple of hours smashing out the tutorial area, and then use the game as a fishing/hunting/horse riding sim. It’ an amazing game and has a lot of the horse mechanics you would love.

yeah i have played the game and its a 10/10 for sure. not sure why I stopped playing it tbh. But the level of detail and work that was put into the hunting/fishing and horse riding in that game is beyond compare.

lol I basically want to re-create my UO days and wander around with a pack mule full of trade goods and come back into town after a few hours at it and sell my stuff for a dollar, have a yarn with the locals, buy a hot meal and some pots and head back out for another adventure.

Because having a fun mechanic like a horse that follows you and has more bag space, and it being a core part of the game that you have to do in order to get around and actually just play the game, it can get tedious after a while.

The story is long and can be a bit of a slog if you’re not into slow burn stories i guess. When i do fresh playthroughs, i play up until Micah is in jail and then leave him in there, sometimes for months at a time while i fish and hunt to my hearts content lol

I’m playing right now.

“I wish you had stayed in the sea - with the other walruses too”
“Arthur, that’s enough!”

Wake up outside in the woods.

One thing I miss from SWTOR. There was essentially a talent tree for unlocking convenience perks, which you got xp for the tree by simply playing the game, and the xp was account wide as were the perks.

XP buffs that games version of heirlooms, teleports to specific locations, auction house and vendors in your house, etc. And my favorite was the one that made mounting an instant cast.

Leeeeeeennnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyy!!!

That’s a fine horse you have there.

I cried pretty hard when my White Arabian (horse breed for anyone else reading) died, i had it right from the start and always gave it the best of everything lol

I’m almost finished with Chapter 2 and I’m loving it. Just did the fishing mission - Jack is such a sweet boy.

If i could offer up one piece of advice, just take your time, do all of the white marker side missions that pop up after you complete a yellow marker (core mission), also, look up a guide on how to unlock the trinket that gives you a chance to skin a higher quality pelt when you skin/loot an animal, grab that trinket and then work on the bottomless bag, it’s so nice to be able to loot everything and not worry about getting full!
