Even just from these forums you can tell the launch was weaksauce as far as “bringing players back” goes
For example: the battlegrounds forum basically “emptied out”/went dead during Shadowlands as all the regular posters unsubbed one by one (due to no new BGs, no new content for casual PvPers, etc)… nowadays it’s just a ghost-town with a handful of premaders in there arguing/bickering about which premade is better (fluff threads)
As for the IRL front, I don’t personally know any young males aged 15-25 in my area or social circle that play WoW. The devs seem to be failing at “bringing in new blood” to the game by getting these younger gamers hooked (while other games seem to have no issues attracting/retaining them)
The gear progression path is a dead end.
Wow ain’t bringing no new people in. It’s the same old thing every expansion wait til about 6 months in and all you saying my friends came back and come here and say hey there still playing. Only thing that keeps this game alive is the people who just won’t quit even though half really ain’t enjoying it. If only had player retention in 2022.

My one IRL friend quit after less than a month and 10 in game friends stopped logging in.
too much burst same as shadowlands… and the shadowlands abilities are still a core part of the game.
I can’t blame them. In 6 days my sub will end and I am not planning to resub for the next couple of months. Depends what 10.1. will bring and if it gives me a reason to come back.
Dragonflight might be better than bfa and shadowlands, but it is still rather underwhelming overall in my opinion.
This list is a joke.
WQs are barely existent and now take forever to repopulate.
Legacy content scaling was broken, yet again, meaning that at best you have to relevel and regear to do the same legacy content that’s been soloable for the last 2 expansions. There’s nothing new under the sun here.
Professions are pretty broken, and if you didnt exploit early you’re likely behind the market and left out, assuming you didn’t follow a guide and the poor in game descriptions of knowledge traits led you to brick something.
Then there’s… grinding mobs, grinding the same quests to level an alt, and… the same amount of raid and group and PvP content there always has been, which means nothing for people who don’t raid, PvP or push keys.

you need better, less flakey friends, bro.
Unless you do professions at all, in which case you now have to grind rep on all of them just to get recipes to level the profession.

When a new xpac comes out, remember what the Pandas say, “Slow down. Life is to be savored.”
Don’t you mean “ex IRL friends” ?
Something, something common denominator…

I was wondering the same thing.
Tell them to do torghast and stuff then if they’re bored. Being 70 makes it much more fun.
Lets go OP all the ALT army will come and type 5 words. Like they know they are doing better lmao
Maybe they are still playing and blocked you? Lol
I’ve done that.
Not to you tho
