All IRL's already quit DF

My best friend came back, he hasn’t played since vanilla.

are they really your friends if they already quit :smiling_imp:

Given we’re a whole like 3 weeks into DF, I’d wager your friends aren’t the type to stick around forever to begin with. This is too early to be burnt out on whatever unique endgame system issues an expansion comes with. Leaving this early to me just says they’re bored of WoW in general.

That started last expansion for me. It was the first time I was playing without any of the people I’ve known for years.

I’ll take “Things that never happened” for $500 please Alex.

Why? With “adventure mode,” rep bonuses based on your main’s progress, and the bind on account rep tokens that start dropping after you cap renown…DF is by far the most alt friendly x-pack ever

Also, getting your alts starter gear through open world content is also incredible easy

I have one IRL friend that plays WOW. He’s loving DF. The rest of my friends don’t even play video games.

I just want to share my IRL WoW friends are all playing, plus some of my non-IRL WoW friends I met in vanilla WoW that have been offline for years are back in DF.

What’s the eSports gating happening?

If true OP, that’s normal.
I don’t have friends more or less BUT things tend to level out a month in or so if even at that and Dragonflight doesn’t really have anything interesting to do for longevity that isn’t watching paint dry.

Then there is just raid logging or m+ stuff which isn’t for everyone.

When did the definition of “casuals” become “people who play 3 weeks and leave”? That was always the definition of “cyclical players” previously. Although the game has been for several expansions marketed through hype intended to sell more boxes rather than retain customers.

“Casuals” were always people who played as little or as much as they wanted, and took a casual approach toward the game and other players, often choosing easy content for its entertainment value, playing the game as a pastime rather than one or more full-time jobs.

It was “hardcores” and especially raiders who played hard and unsubbed until the next raid came out. They went to play some other hardcore game.

Interesting, I’ve noticed the exact opposite all my friends who quit retail for classic came and tried out DF and are going full ham in it right now.

Most of my irl friends make fun of me for playing wow

The thought of not having to grind out factions and such for all of my alts has given me more incentive to play. Usually doing those things over and over is what burned me out in previous expansions. Now I can just hop on whatever class I’m in the mood for and not feel like I’m falling behind anywhere.

DF is most definitely alt friendly. I have NEVER had such an easy time moving toons to new zones, leveling super fast and gearing up as I have this expac. Blizz hit a homerun with Dragonflight IMO, and its only going to be better from hear I feelz.

we wish them farewell, maybe there are other games out there that you can enjoy together

When someone you know starts talking to you about wow at a party…

Excuse me, do I know you? I’m gonna go get a drink
